Hibachi Express — Restaurant in Liberty Township

If your looking for authentic hibachi food, this is not the place. Yes it was hot, however I didn’t eat anything else past my 3rd bite. I was wanting real authentic hibachi food so my appetite didn’t allow me to eat it. Not authentic at all, very generic tasting and looking. Rice appeared to be minute made rice. If I didn’t know any better, I’d swear it was a tv dinner. And I’ve had authentic hibachi and this ain’t it. The girl at the register was offended that I didn’t eat it. It wasn’t what I was expecting. Should be called hibachi like express. I only gave one star because it was required. They get no stars from me. I won’t be back!!! Now Kobe’s in hermitage, pa, that’s authentic hibachi food!! Never trust a hibachi restaurant that doesn’t use a wok, a hibachi grill and use minute made rice. And the cook isn’t even…. Well. My visit to this restaurant was unfortunately very poor. From the moment I entered, the heavy smell of smoke was off-putting and felt more like an American Chinese restaurant than the Japanese cuisine I expected.

The food quality was a significant letdown. I ordered the three-meat hibachi, and it was overwhelmingly sweet, while the steak included was tough and chewy.

There were also issues with the facilities and service. The bathroom was out of order, and despite my choosing to dine in, my meal was served in a plastic takeout container. While the restaurant appeared to be clean, it did not make up for the numerous other problems. I will not...

The only thing I ordered was the Tempura Roll. If not for the pleasant service at the drive thru window, this would have been a 1 or 2 star rating. The roll was dry, other than the sauce on top. It seemed like the roll was burnt. If I didn't sit there and wait for it to be made, I would have thought that it had been sitting for a while. The Tempura Roll was not good.

Next visit: I ordered the Habachi with Chicken, Shrimp and Steak to eat in. The Habachi, Shrimp and Steak were all very good. The chicken was just okay. It was a little dry. Service was good. Facility was clean. The music while I was eating was too loud...
