Don't order the raw oysters! They're not fresh, but from a jar more than likely? We noticed how lilly white the shells are. They've been washed many times and reused. There was no abductor muscle in the used shells because they had been reused hundreds of times & the connecting muscle was gone, scrubed away in the dishwasher. The muscle was completely gone. In a fresh oyster you can tell where the oyster was separated from the shell which is called the abductor. These shells looked like they had been bleached. Shame on this restaurant for serving raw oysters on the half shell and passing them off as fresh. I've consumed thousands of oysters in my life and these were just about the worst raw oysters I've ever eaten. Oysters that come in a jar are meant to be fried or cooked and not passed off on washed oyster shells. Horrible! The food is good but skip the raw oysters. Get them fried. I've eaten oysters from coast to coast and I've NEVER run into something like this. It's strikes me as very strange. The oysters have a strong almost spoiled taste when raw because there's no telling how old they are? They're great for frying though. You just don't do what I suspect this restaurant is doing to raw oysters. It gives raw oysters a bad name. Come on Baytown Seafood Liberty Texas get real fresh oysters from our bay or don't serve them. We're to close to the bay to not bring a sack of fresh raw oysters every day to your restaurant. Fresh raw oysters are the best but they must be fresh and not from a jar & dead for who knows how long 🤔? Oysters actually stay alive for a long time in those sacks and when you eat them they've just died as they're shucked. It's just so sad they're doing this. They've NOT fooled me! I think they have decent food but what else are they passing...
Read moreMost times I am completely satisfied when I order from this location. However. tonight they really messed me over. And honestly I will probably never eat there again. For the price I paid my order should have been correct. I even called back after I first placed the order and asked for extra tarter and lemon slices to be in with the order. I was assured by the female waitress that everything would be in the bag with the order. When I got the order the bag was tied up in a knot so I didn't want to rip the bag trying to untie and check. And also I expected the order to be double checked by staff. We ordered 2 of the 2piece fish with 6 shrimp plates. I didn't even get my salad...the menus on display said the plates included fries salad and hush puppies... We got no hush puppies and when I called back to ask about that and my salad I was told to come back to get the salad...but hush puppies don't cone with plates. I live 20 minutes away. And we were ready to eat. Very disappointed that I paid over $25 for an order that was missing sides and condiments. I...
Read moreWe stopped there yesterday on our way home to Beaumont from a doctor’s appointment in Baytown. It was about 3:15, parking lot was basically empty. We thought maybe we should leave but decided to go in. We were not in a hurry, dining room was empty except for two waitresses. Immediately a waitress came to seat us and bring menus. Offered drinks. We looked at the menu and surprised at all they had to offer. We started out with egg rolls, yummy. Hubby ordered a huge salad with everything one could think of, plus a side of jumbo fried shrimp. I had grilled flounder served with fried rice and grilled veggies. The food was delicious, fresh, served hot and we both loved every bite, so much so that we brought home an order of veggie fried rice. Our waitress remained attentive. So glad we stopped, we will be back. Waitress Samantha (Server 01)...
