We arrived at 3pm on a Tuesday, restaurant was empty. We were greeted and sat quickly at a booth. 5 minutes later our server sits a couple behind us, the entire restaurant is open and he sat them next to us. On the napkin wrapper it stated that free chips and salsa or non alcoholic drink today and every day with chili's reward sign-in (something like that). We ordered chips and salsa and signed in on kiosk.
The server appeared new and nervous but we were patient. We ordered water, soup, eggroll apps and quesadillas. He was efficient and the food was fine.
When we went to pay, chips and salsa wasn't free. We asked our server for help, he asked us to sign in again and he said we didn't have any rewards. I showed him the wrapper and asked why the chips and salsa wasn't free. He said you didn't have a reward it will be next time. I said that isn't want the silverware wrapper ad states. We checked again for an asterisk or on the back details stating why we weren't receiving free chips as stated. Nothing. We've been Chili's rewards members for years. But no free chips for us or a server who could help us. I always leave a cash tip because I want them to take home some money. I left $4.50 in cash, as I was leaving I hear the waiter speaking to the bartender and pointing at our table, they left $2.50. Very frustrated. And went to count it as I walked out. The tip was 15%, of the pre-tax amount and cash. I believe it reflects (To Insure...
Read moreWent there last night with my husband. He got the Ribeye. I got the 6 oz sirloin. My husbands Ribeye was bad, as in the had went bad. It was discolored (inside of the steak) and smelt like seafood. The juice running from the meat was thick and slime like, would not run when the plate was tilted. We let the waitress know and she agreed it looked and smelt bad. She took it away and came back and said that the manager ( Christian ) refused to remove it from our bill, stating that we probably just didn't like the seasoning. NO Christian that is not at all the case.... we just don't like chancing food poisoning or E. Coli or BSE (you might need to google that one) or salmonellosis. The steak was literally light peach on the inside, the color of salmon and smelt of salmon.... It had went bad!! We didn't eat ANY of it yet we paid for it due to your level of incompetency and lack of proper understanding of food safety and handling regulations. Our waitress was very good, she was attentive to us and our needs, she recognized the meat had gone bad and even asked us if it was the steak that we were unhappy with. She apologized repeatedly to us for her lack of being able to remove it from our bill. I really hope no-one gets sick from "them not liking the seasoning" at y'alls...
Read moreWent with my son, sister and nephew I ordered the chicken crispers most were good but got one that was a little bigger than the others and didn't get enough cook time. I bit into it and immediately had to spit it out into a napkin because it was under cooked. When the manager asked if the food was good I said everything was good but one strip was undercooked she then said we'll they are cooked on a timer I said it was fine I was just letting her know. She then brought out two more strips I told her I didn't want them and she wouldn't take no for an answer so I accepted them and didn't even eat them. When I go to pay the bill there is an almost $8 charge for a kids chicken crisper meal that I didn't want anyhow but I believe even if I would have refused the strips for their mistake I would have been charged regardless. We go there pretty regularly but I'm done with chili's for good that's the second time I've gotten undercooked chicken I try to be polite about it and act like it's no big deal when it happens but in turn they charge me for more food I didn't even ask for the waitress was great though it's a shame they have to work for such...
