Tropical Smoothie Cafe — Restaurant in Lima

Summary - °I brought my mother and younger brother here for a quick smoothie. °This was a first time for all of us trying the smoothies here.

Smoothies - ° we each got different ones.

• All of prices for smoothies seemed very fair/ affordable. Especially since you get a 20oz I believe. ***

° One was the Bahama mama: this one was rated 10/10 compared to our other drinks ( super sweet, but not overwhelming.) ° The next one was kiwi quencher ( suggest by a super helpful employee there [ Lauryn, she was super sweet and friendly along with straight to the point]): this one was rated a 9/10, so second place. ( Has a sour note, but really good equally balanced out with sweetness.) ° The last one was jetty punch : we all rated this one as in last place, it only received a 6/10. It sounded good, but ended up tasting bland. It was especially bland compared to the other two drinks.

Atmosphere / Service - ° Very welcoming atmosphere, I didn't detect any tension. It seems this local spot stays fairly active. All the employees were catering to orders and nothing seemed rushed. ( I found this pleasant as I don't prefer to have a rushed and chaotic atmosphere) ° I was pleasantly surprised with how well put together the store itself was. It was clean and well put together. Whoever did the design set up quiet literally used every dimension to their benefit. ° One downfall I will bring up was parking, I get they are in an awkward spot. Ordered 50 dollars worth of food to go. They forgot a my Baja wrap to go. I didn't notice until I got all the way home. I probably waisted over 5 dollars in gas in the process. I got there and asked if it would be possible to get a 5 dollar gift card or something to compensate me for my gas. This cocky 16 year old blonde girl got real loud and started stating they couldn't do anything at all because their manager wasn't there. Then another girl behind the counter offered me a cookie. I didn't want a cookie then the 16 year old started getting loud again. I left and will be contacting a manager tomorrow. She proceeded to cuss me out after her mistake then I asked for my tip back because I gave over 5 dollars and she said you're not getting it back and bragged about that I went into her pocket. Unreal experience. I'll update the review when I get a response for the manager in the morning. She doesn't deserve to be employed if she can't talk to people...

My family and I were invited to attend their soft opening yesterday and it was Fantastic!!! I'm so excited for them, they are a wonderful hard working family!!! The cafe is very nice and quaint, love the 2 sided bar area, will be an awesome hang out for "kids" of all ages. We tried 4 different smoothies... The Lean Machine (for Joey of course 🏋🏽‍♀️) The Bahama Mama, Peanut Butter Chocolate, and my New Fav., The Avocaloda!!!😋 You have the option of add ons & using Splenda instead of sugar (which is big for me). We also tried the Chicken Jerk Wrap... Ohhhhhh myyyyyy, soooooo good!!! Go check them out, you won't be disappointed!!! The portion sizes are great for the much affordable prices.
