I recently had the opportunity to dine at Bob Evans, and overall, it was a decent experience. As expected, the food was what I've come to anticipate from a Bob Evans restaurant. However, what really stood out during my visit was the exceptional and fast customer service provided by the staff.
The menu offered a variety of classic American comfort food options, and the dishes I ordered were well-prepared and satisfying. From their signature breakfast items to their homestyle dinners, Bob Evans consistently delivers hearty and flavorful meals. The quality and taste were on par with what I've experienced at other Bob Evans locations, so I was pleased in that regard.
What truly impressed me, though, was the level of customer service I received. The staff members were friendly, attentive, and efficient. They promptly took my order, ensured my needs were met, and made me feel welcome throughout my meal. Their attentive nature added a positive touch to the overall dining experience.
Unfortunately, there was one aspect of my visit that left a bit to be desired—the bathrooms. While the restaurant itself was clean and well-maintained, there was an unusual and unpleasant smell in the bathroom area. It detracted from the otherwise pleasant ambiance and was a noticeable drawback during my visit.
Despite the slight issue with the bathroom odor, the excellent customer service and the satisfying food made up for it. If you're looking for a reliably good meal in a casual and comfortable setting, Bob Evans is a solid choice. Just be aware of the potential issue with the...
Read moreThis particular Bon Evans is lacking in poor management. I placed an order for carry out tonight. I showed up on time to get my order. I waited in line for 12 minutes as the normal check out wasn’t open and everyone was using the carry out register. There were 8 people in line ahead of me. There were a number of personnel standing behind the counters, but no one came to jump on the other register. While we waited in line, the only girl manning the register, was also the only girl answering the telephone. She stopped to answer the phone two times during my visit, which put a pause on checking out the customers that were standing in line in the actual restaurant. Once I paid, my food was still not quite ready to go. A portion of it was randomly sitting on a counter - not bagged - and not placed under any sort of heat lamp. As a person who worked in food service during my youth, I cannot imagine that the set up met any type of food safety standards. The cashier then had to stop and fetch my soup herself and bag my order. I have taken a picture of said counter where my food was placed, and will be reporting it to the corporate office. I do not believe I am able to post a photo on here. All told, my order was approximately 18 minutes past due. All I ordered was mashed potatoes, chicken noodle soup, and rolls. All things that obviously are cooked in bulk, well in advance of any placement...
Read moreGrowing up, Bob Evans was a big deal to go to for lunch or dinner because it was as close to my mother's cooking as you could get. For decades after that, it would be my go to place for yummy comfort food. But even before the pandemic I started noticing a shift; food wasn't coming out as great as it used too be-def a more processed feel to it. The servers don't seem to want to be there (and I get it but at least fake it just a bit so I don't feel like I'm putting you out) and there was a big hangup on the biscuits to the point we had to take the sausage gravy and biscuits home with us once the biscuits came out of the oven. While our server was waiting on biscuits, the rest of our food sat there getting cold so maybe use a QC person to make sure the meals come out like they're supposed to. On top of that, sitting in booths that I've probably sat in 20-40 years ago wasn't very inviting either. In sum, it wasn't a very good experience and I'm not expecting to go back...
