Dix Coney Island — Restaurant in Lincoln Park

The last 3 times we've ordered the orders have been messed up but this time takes the cake!

We spent 1 hour trying to call and kept getting non stop ringing or vmal. my partner went up to order. partner comes home after waiting 30 minutes, my daughter's fries are chili cheese instead of fries with American cheese slices(fine she'll eat them). They forgot my cheddar chicken bacon gyro altogether. my partner calls gets an answer he said you forgot my chicken pita, they said to come back up it'll be 10 minutes. he gets there they made him a regular chicken pita, he checks he told them it was wrong it wasn't even chicken!! So now we're at 2hours 20minutes from trying to place the order w/ no success via phone to waiting and going back up there now we're at 2 hours and 40 minute waiting for the 3rd remake, ( who knows if they even made the first 🤣)

7 . my family won't be going there again we normally tip well, and we didn't complain but for the waitress to tell my partner "you told me we forgot a chicken pita over the phone" trying to place blame on my partner, then not even giving a "chicken pita".

I've waitresses for 10 years. the waitress is supposed to check before wrapping up.

NOW I'm told a gyro only comes with chicken bacon and cheese, no mayo, no lettuce no tomato like the menu said. WHERE DO THEY DO THAT AT?!?!?!

I called to ask she said let me check the menu no it's not listed. 🤦🤦🤦 save your time make your own food. my poor partner now eating cold food just because he knows I would have just taken a refund and been...

(I RARELY GO TO THE DIX CONEY ISLAND ANYMORE, BECAUSE THEIR FOOD IS NOT THE BEST, = WHEN IT COMES TO DOWNRIVER MI, CONEY ISLANDS BUT THE OTHER NIGHT I FIGURED I WOULD GIVE IT A SHOT BECAUSE I HAD NOT BEEN THERE FOR A WHILE I ENDED UP ORDERING $25 WORTH OF FOOD WITH MY FRIEND AND I WAS ONCE AGAIN LET DOWN!) ( BUT I HIGHLY RECOMMEND, (THE CAMEO RESTAURANT ON DIX IN LINCOLN PARK, THEY HAVE VERY GREAT PRICES AND THEIR FOOD IS INCREDIBLE THE CONEY PART OF THE MENU IS EXTRAORDINARY, YOU CAN ORDER BREAKFAST ANYTIME AND THEIR BREAKFAST MEALS ARE HUGE AND EVERYTHING IS HOMEMADE AT THE CAMEO! IT IS A MUST TRY! I WILL PERMANENTLY NOT EVER GO BACK TO DIX CONEY ISLAND EVER AGAIN AFTER MY LAST EXPERIENCE, NOT TO MENTION, THAT DIX CONEY ISLAND, IS NOTTTT VERY CLEAN! ALSO THEY HAVE NOT UPDATED THEIR MENU AND THEY BOOSTED THEIR PRICES THROUGH THE ROOF FOR THE QUALITY OF FOOD THEY PROVIDE SO I RECOMMEND FOR NOBODY TO TRY DIX CONEY ISLAND IF YOU HAVE NOT TRIED IT BEFORE, (AND I SAY THIS NOT BECAUSE I HAD ANY PROBLEMS WITH THE RESTAURANT ITSELF OR I DON'T LIKE ANYBODY THERE OR SOMETHING IT'S JUST THE QUALITY OF FOOD IS NOT THE WAY IT USED TO BE AND THERE ARE MUCH BETTER PLACES TO EAT AROUND HERE LIKE THE CAMEO RESTAURANT IT IS A 10 OUT OF 10!! THE CAMEO, ALSO SERVES SOUP AND SALAD WITH TWO SIDES FOR EACH DINNER YOU GET ALONG WITH A MEAL THAT WILL BLOW YOUR MIND! IT IS NOT YOUR AVERAGE CONEY...

I waited on the phone for 14 minutes listening to walk in orders being taken and going out the entire call..then was hung up on! VERY UNORGANIZED RUDE STAFF!!! They are soo overworked and understaffed that when i called and spoke with someone about my ruined order, they told me just that excuse that they are overworked and understaffed themselves..imagine that! I live minutes away... and from the time I oredered..I got my food over an hour later! People that walked in and ordered got there food before me! There's no organization,quality control is non existent! Your fish probably tastes like beef..and your chicken like a burger..watch them cook..gross unsanitary habits!!! IM ALLERGIC TO ONIONS!!!...THERE WERE SOME ON THE HAM THAT I ATE...THERE REASONING..ITS BUSY..PROBABLY GOT MIXED IN WITH GRILL THATS FULL OF DIFFERENT FOODS AND IT CANT BE HELPED..SERIOUSLY? OFFER NO REFUND EVEN THOUGH FROM AN ORDER ONLY 3 BITES TAKEN..OH AND I HAD A 16$ DREAM BREAKFAST..SHOULD BE CALLED NIGHTMARE!!! I'll be going in to confront the owner or mgt tomorrow..I WILL GIVE AN UPDATE...
