My fiancé regularly orders from here and I've never been inside but I took today off of work and went to go grab her a pickup order.
Having never been in, I walked past the pickup shelf and stood in line. As I waited for around 15 minutes, the staff were busy working and preparing other orders as usual but over time I realized that everyone around me was being talked to/greeted/asked "what they need." I, eventually, ended up in front of the register and still had no one address me at all.
Then one of the staff looked at the ladies BEHIND me in line and asked what they would like to order. So, I decided at this point to play along and not make a scene. I let them order and they left for their seats, the staff ignores me and goes and makes their food. I then wait an another 5 minutes directly in front of the register (while other people come and go around me) waiting for someone to even make eye contact with me as I look around at the nearest staff member at any given time. Finally it happened...as I was prompted to move out of the way so the ladies from earlier could come back and pay....
At this point I've waited for around ~20 minutes and another staff member was already mid sentence asking the SECOND person behind me (now next to me after the ladies left with their food) what they we're waiting for/would like to order. I cut him off and asked if I could get some help with my pickup order. He then told me it's over on the shelf.
So I'll take the blame for not going to the right place in the store, even if I've never been inside before...but not attending to a customer for 20 minutes?! Seriously, I've worked in restaurants for over 10 years including/up to general management of a location(s). This was by far the worst customer service I've ever experienced or seen. Doesn't matter if I was an online order or about to order. You ignored me, shoved me aside in favor of other customers, (I can't come up with any logical reason for this one), and most importantly this could have been solved by a simple, "hello," or maybe at least some eye contact.
I was a ghost in this establishment.
The food was what she ordered, now cold after the 20 minute wait. It's safe to say that we are never ordering from here again. Kudos, 4701 Old Cheney Rd. for my first 1 star review I've ever followed through and...
Read moreDO NOT LET YOUR KIDS GO HERE Oliver is a PREDATOR I am so furious and disgusted I can barely type this. As a father of a 13-year-old daughter, the thought of what could have happened makes me sick. We need to warn every parent in this town about a man named Oliver who works at Bagel and Joe's. This predator Oliver has been targeting young girls, including my daughter and her friends. He’s been flirting with them, trying to give them his number, and following them on social media. It is absolutely disgusting behavior from a grown man towards children. And guess what? MY FAMILY IS NOT THE ONLY ONE. After I started talking about what happened to my daughter, I was contacted by COUNTLESS other families with the exact same story about this creep! He’s a pattern, a predator, and Bagel and Joe's is giving him a paycheck and a place to operate. We have told the management. We have demanded they fire him. They have done NOTHING. Their silence is complicity. They are choosing to protect a weirdo who makes minors feel unsafe instead of protecting our children and their own reputation. I am DONE being polite. This man is a danger to our kids. Until he is gone and the management makes a public statement, I am urging every parent to BOYCOTT this place. Spread the word. Tell your friends. Protect your daughters. We are taking this to the police, but the community needs to know what they are harboring. SHUT IT DOWN until he is gone. I’ve never been so angry and let down by a...
Read moreCame here for breakfast. I ordered the Breakfast Burrito with Turkey and a Christmas Cookie Latte. The Burrito was okay. The turkey deli meat seemed very out of place in the breakfast burrito and didn't blend well together. The Latte was good, though the cookie crumbles on top were gross by the end of the drink, but that is to be expected. I do like the effort in trying something new. A big downside, though it didn't affect me during this visit, is their limited number of WiFi slots. I tried connecting several times and kept getting the message that all the Wifi was being used and to try back later. This was very strange to me especially since the place was not very busy at all with many tables empty at the time, and no one had a laptop out that I saw. This is an issue if you plan to come here to get soe food, a coffee, and get some work done. If you do not plan on using the internet, this is a place I would recommend for breakfast. I would stick to one of the bagels though, as they all looked very good. The young men and women working were very helpful when I was trying to make a decision on what to order, and were super friendly. I would come back here when I...
