George's Gourmet Grill Clocktower — Restaurant in Lincoln

Sometimes I want to sit at a table and pay a waitress to interact with the restaurant to order my food and see that my expectations have been met. Sometimes I want something fast while I am busy doing other things. Then there is middle ground. George's Gormet is in that middle.

George's menu is meditaranean but leans heavily toward Greek. There is a menu board, and a walk-up counter to order and pay. Disposable plates and utensils are normal as well as self-serve drinks and cans of Coke.

I have eaten the Gyro Z-plate with Feta Cheese and a choice of sauce. This sandwich covered my entire plate. I have also ordered Spanakopita which came along with a small salad and fries. Quite a plate full and hot.

What they do is supply an ethnic lunch option other than a burger or chicken sandwich, although there are versions of these as well.

I have enjoyed take-out lunch a couple of times and decided to try their catering services for a family birthday party - we were highly satisfied with the entire experience! The owner was incredibly easy and pleasant to work with and ensured me that he would prepare more than enough food to serve the 15 people at the party. We opted to order buffet style service which included gyro meat, chicken shawarma, pita bread, tzatziki of our choice, a side of rice, and a side of fries. All of the food was freshly prepared and warm in the serving pans and he waited until I arrived at the restaurant to cook the fries to ensure that they were fresh and not soggy/stale. Ordered take out and there was hair all through the gyro plate. My son tried to pick around the first piece he found, but took a bite of the meat and had to pull a piece of hair out of his mouth. Called restaurant and it seemed like they had received calls like this before saying that door dash would refund the order.
