Hacienda Real Highlands — Restaurant in Lincoln

I used to LOVE Hacienda, it's been my favorite restaurant for years, and I visit every year on my birthday. However this location has unfortunately changed my mind. The service here seems nonexistent everytime I've visited this year. I consistently have to try to find a waitress to have my groups needs met, and am completely overlooked by my waitress. This has been something I've noticed to become a pattern each time I go. I see the waitress when I order, and maybe sometimes when I get my food, and then I'm left to fend for myself. It's at this point where I've only started coming for the food, but unfortunately I don't believe I can even say that anymore. I visited yesterday and brought leftovers home. While I was trying to enjoy my leftovers, I found a large piece of plastic IN one of my tacos. This is disgusting, and a huge health hazard as this could have come from the floor or been used for raw meats. I'm very disappointed and I'm also concerned for what else my food may have come in contact with if the workers are THIS careless about the food they're...

Would not recommend take out from here. After receiving a text message that our food was ready, we showed up at our specified pick up time. Our food was not ready, and we had to wait. They offered us a seat and said they would bring us chips and salsa while we waited. Once we were sat, no one ever visited our table again to bring us chips. After waiting about 10-15 minutes, we attempted to go up to the bar to order drinks as we had no idea how long we would be waiting for. They then said that they were just bagging up our meal and it would be out shortly so we did not purchase drinks. We then waited another 3-5 minutes before receiving our meal which was poorly prepared. They do not have proper takeout containers as they only use paper plates and aluminum foil. Because of this, a container leaked and grease soaked through the paper bag holding our food while driving back from the restaurant. Our order was put in to be picked up around 4:00-4:10 and we did not leave the restaurant...

Let me start by saying that the service was good! Waitress took our order without writing it down and got it correct the first time! They were busy but she was attentive. Nice, clean place. The food, however left much to desired. I ordered chicken fajitas and it had very small bits of chicken buried in among mounds of grilled onions and peppers. The flavor was lacking, but since the salsa was so good, I was able to make it at least taste like salsa. The rice was very dry! Never had rice prepared so poorly in a Mexican restaurant. Once again… salsa to the rescue! They served it with guacamole, which was quite tasty and crema instead of sour cream. Considering the fact that my daughter’s meal was no better, I would not return.
