It had been awhile since I had ordered anything from Great Wall. I usually order take out from their 70th and Vine location, but since I work in the Belmont area of town I ordered delivery from their Highlands location. I was craving Hot Sour Soup and Orange Chicken. The food was awesome as usual, I will only say one thing that I was a little disappointed in that my Hot Sour soup was spicier than normal. Next time I'm going to order a few items with a little less spicyness to them. They can help you adjust your menu items to fit your needs or dietary needs. It was the first time ordering delivery. They told me that it would be about 45 minutes for delivery and from the time I hit send on the online ordering app, it was like 20 minutes when they arrived with my food. I was extremely happy with the turn around time. From start to the delivery of my food. Great Wall takes great care and works hard at making sure that your food arrives piping hot as if you were picking it up from the store. So if you're looking for a change of pace in your carry-out or delivery meal selection, I would recommend you try the Great Wall...
Read moreExpensive somehow in a cheap dirty establishment. The only pro I can say is their lunch combo is only $5.99 for half order of a entree and plain fried rice, drink isnt included, and if u get a egg roll with it you have to pay for sweet and sour sauce.... none is given to you with the lunch special. Everything else costs more than other places. After you order, they will yell out what you ordered and you have to go pick it up yourself on cheap plastic dishes. Drinks are almost $2 each and its a small 12 ounce cup, all of which help you reach their "$10 minumum" if you want to use your card. You can go to Amigos next door for better food, better price, and friendly service. Especially when I asked why a lunch special and one regular order was $28.64, they went on and on about how the one main entree was $1 more than the price listed on the menu. It was only when I showed them on my calculator total with tax was $20, it was only then they changed the price. So double check your order dont let them scam you by trying explain different prices and false...
Read moreSince Hyvee chinese closes kind of early now I thought I would try this place. Hunan pork and fried rice. The combination specials aren't combinations. They simply add an egg roll. I thought it was a bit pricey and that the portions were a little stingy (compared to Hyvee or my fav Great Wall in San Diego) but the food was pretty good. The veggies were fresh and crispy, there wasnt alot of greasy gravy in the mix. People who like their chinese drowning in sauce might not care for this. But I gave it 4 stars.
I changed my review to 5 stars since my first time there. I guess it depends on how you like your Chinese food. I know people who prefer it after it has sat in the warming trays for a few hours and softened. I don't. I like that their stir fry is prepared when you order it so the veggies are crisp and hot. Ive never waited more than 5 minutes. I highly recommend...
