LaMar's Donuts and Coffee — Restaurant in Lincoln

Update to review below- March 8th, 2025:

Today I went here to pick up the best donuts in town, which they are. The line was really long, but there was only one person working at the time (around 7:50 AM). It was the same person who gave me outstanding customer service before and the reason I left the review I did before. Once again and with every person in line, he was helpful, professional, had a kind demeanor, patient, and hard working. I finally got his name- Taylor.

Perhaps Taylor just thinks he's doing his job, but I know better. There's a shortage of people with excellent customer service and communication skills out there. You are one of the best. Please know that everyone who comes into the store while you are there is receiving the best the company can offer. If I were able to contact LaMars highest management to recognize your ability, I would. You EARN this praise. You WORK hard. Thank you for being such a great person and worker!!

Top notch customer service at such an early hour!! I should've asked for the employee's name before I left today to acknowledge him properly, but please recognize whomever was serving patrons at 6:45 AM on Saturday, Jan 18th. I know he mentioned he has to commute clear from Omaha each day if that narrows down who the employee is.

He was friendly and kind, helpful on guiding my buying options for the work crew.

Let me start out by saying, I love LaMar's Donuts. Just a plain glazed donuts and a cup of coffee is the way to go. Today we ordered two dozen glazed donuts and one dozen fancy. We ordered through Door Dash to have it delivered to our office. When they came there were two dozen of the fancy donuts and no glazed. We called LaMar's immediately and I was placed on hold. After holding for 5 mintues, I hung up and called back. The girl said just a minute, sat the phone down and I heard her say, "They called back." I then spoke to someone who didn't say her name and she proceeded to tell me that we ordered through Door Dash so we can go on and get our money back. When I inquired about maybe having 2 dozen glazed donuts deliverd to us, she said her employees are young and it wouldn't be right for her to leave the building. (I am okay with that.) What I am not okay with, Not once did I hear the words, I am sorry for our error. Let me send you a gift card for the next time you come. I apoligize. What happened to customer service? It is amazing how hearing the words, I'm sorry can make a customer feel better. Highly disappointed in the order being messed up and that is not the fault of Door Dash. Plus if you are the manager and you are taking a phone call from an upset customer, act like you feel bad, not indifferent. Zero stars for LaMar's on this visit. My office loves LaMar's but I won't be picking it up again...

"This place will be the newest downfall of my diet. And the same place sells ice cream in the evening!" This is what I said quite a while ago. However my current review is this. While the quality of the donuts remains high, the current overpriced cost per 1 donut is almost $4 each. Specialty ones are more. $44 for a dozen box is unacceptable! Yesterday I arrived at the store at 4pm for ice cream and noticed a FULL case of donuts and a person behind that case. I wandered over thinking that maybe the donut hours had been extended and figured I would pick up1 "special surprise donut" for my ill daughter since it looked as if they were open. The person saw me approach and told me before I asked that "THEY" were closed. Okay, but on my way home I wondered if that meant that those donuts would be sold tomorrow as "fresh" to morning customers??! Inquiring minds want to know!! It was obvious by seeing the residue, frosting,etc. that a decent amount of several types of donuts had been purchased earlier in the day from those trays. Still wondering!?!? Have...
