Imperial Kitchen — Restaurant in Lincoln

Decided to deviate from our normal chinese food place because they are a little more expensive than usual. However, completely worth it in comparison. This is probably the most bland chinese food I have had since a buffet at a mall 15 years ago. Nothing against the people, but the food is terrible. Had 4 dishes and they were all just not even close to par. I could smell the subpar before I even tasted. Bland is an understatement. As I was writing this, my partner just said "wow, I don't think I've ever had chinese take out that was this terrible."

Sesame chicken, Lo Mein, General tsao's chicken, dumplings. I literally just spit the dumplings up. I am not going to even try to eat this; pizza is it.

I had very good experience. They improved service a lot. So I changed my review to five star. Below is the old review. “The staff here were always very nice. However, I was extremely disappointed with the service provided by the front desk girl, who was in a white T-shirt today. I have not met her before. From the moment we arrived, her attitude was dismissive and unwelcoming. She was incredibly rude and impatient. And she has no knowledge about the menu. I understand that working in a customer-facing role can be stressful, but basic courtesy and professionalism are essential. I understand that it is hard to hire someone. I've eaten here several times over the past year. The service was lacking, but the food was delicious and the price was good. But after ordering soup carry out last week (and being very happy with it), I decided to order 2 double-orders of soups to eat throughout this week. When they brought the order out to me, I checked inside the carry out bag---all four containers of soup were only half-filled. I feel tricked and ripped off. I feel like I wasted my grocery money for the week. When considering a restaurant's service, taste, and price, they might be able to get away with lacking in one area, but not two.
