Ordered online. Pick up time 15 minutes late. Waited patiently. No problem.
Food: gyro meat w/ salad, 1 gyro meat w/ rice. Extras: Lentil soup. 2 extra tzatziki.
gyro meat with a wilted salad. Asked to get it done right. The employee couldn't comprehend what was asked, just suggested to fix the salad by putting on the right ingredients over the wrong ingredients and called it good. The result, a wet salad. I just let it go to save the frustration. And no there was no language barrier. Just his competence. The rice on the second order flavorful but mushy and with some crunch? I dont know how you succeed to do that.
The lentil soup, they were out of it. Instead of asking me if I'd prefer a specific side they just picked one for me. Potatoes, mushy tart potato wedges. I just dealt with it since my request to make the salad right was too much thinking power for the guy helping me out. I tried a potato and one bite was plenty to say that they did not taste good.
Portions: inconsistent portions. You pick your meat, side, and sauce. Its expected that it should be the same portion based off how the menu is displayed, right?
Service: walking in a customer was talking to the owner about his order not going in the system. His order was never placed but it was paid for based off the receipt online that he provided on his phone. They grilled him and asked if he paid or not, they ended up not giving him his order and still charged him because it wasn't on the system.
I waited 15 minutes for the slowest employee to still somehow successfully mess up the order. There was only 1 order ahead of me. They weren't busy to justify a rush being the fault.
Cleanliness: A second employee came back to help out the slow employee, he helped out, but came from the dining room without washing his hands and started serving food. Keep in mind this is during the COVID-19 Epidemic. He served 1 extra tzatziki. I tossed it the moment I received my order.
Some were not wearing masks or gloves. Some did not for both.
Go at your own risk.
(Update) The only thing the owner cared to respond to was that the gyro meat was the highest quality in NE.
they didn't care to address the customer service, consistency, the HEALTH of their customers or employees. only to say his salty gyro meat was...
Read moreFast food Mediterranean Food. Genius. I am in Lincoln, Nebraska for the weekend and the local recommended this restaurant for lunch. It was so good l, I came back the second day before I left town. Lunch for $10 include a drink and Baklava.
I was in and out and full within 25 minutes. The food is quick and delicious. It got a combination of shawarma chicken and gyro meat over potato wedges. Great flavor and filling but not too heavy. You choose the type of Taziki with your meal. I tried the green (spicy) one. It was really good.
The baklava was light and sweet (but not too sweet). A fantastic and quick meal.
They have falafel or vegetarians as well.
Try this restaurant ....

UPDATE: I've tried a different meal here since my original review, and I must state that it was quite delicious! My original meal was chicken with rice, and my second was a gyro salad. The gyro meat is savory, the salad ingredients were fresh, and the tzatziki sauce is the most delicious thing I've ever tasted. The salad portion and gyro meat were also very generous. I watched them make a gyro sandwich, and the pile of meat was so high I wondered how they got the wrap closed. My review for this place went from a 3 star to a 5 star. Very quick, very delicious food, and from a...
