Tandoor Indian Cuisine — Restaurant in Lincoln

I was given a gift card to this place, and subsequently after sharing my experience with the one who gave it to me, I was told that when they had gone in to purchase the gift card, a staff member was changing their baby in one of the booths! Disgusting. Wish they would’ve told me that before I tried it and I wouldn’t have gone.

The food itself was very “meh.” Lackluster spices, the chicken was stringy and rubbery, and the rice was not long grain basmati, it was short grain jasmine that was still too soggy from when they had taken it out of the rice cooker too early. We ordered garlic naan and didn’t receive garlic naan, but regular. After a very unsatisfying meal, my girlfriend (whom I shared with), got food poisoning and was vomiting that night. I can’t confirm if it was from this food as I ate the same thing she did and was fine, but it must have at least upset her stomach as it was all she had eaten that day.

Two stars since the food wasn’t horrible, but really gross experience and the staff apparently changes diapers in the communal areas when it’s not busy and they think people...

We went there for Valentines day. I was so excited, we were all dressed up and looking forward to a great meal and lovely evening. After waiting 1 1/2 hours for our food the owner says he's out of the dish I ordered. So we wait another 20 mins for the new dish and decide to just take it to go and eat it some other time. So all I had for Valentine's dinner was the popcorn I ate at the movie. It made me cry. I want to add I am 7 months pregnant. I wasn't offered any compensation for the bad service not even a discount on our meal. We had to pay full price. We waited two hours in a filthy restaurant only for me to go home in tears.I am surprised at the 4 star rating this restaurant doesn't deserve it. There were other people that left angry also. Frequented Tandoor for over a decade. This restaurant is our absolute favorite restaurant in Lincoln! There are not enough awesome things we can say about it! Great selection of food (even for vegetarian if one likes). We are never disappointed in the quality of the meals. Have a tendency to get lamb and chicken dishes a lot. Lamb Shahi Korma, Lamb Akbari, Chicken Tikka Masala & Tuna Bhuna are some of our favorites! Also like Shrimp Paratha, Tendi Naan & Vegetable Pakora. Always try to find a way to include this restaurant in any new "diet" (lol). Been times we've nearly felt like a new, better couple together after eating here (getting a bottle of wine may also have something to do with that too :).
