Food wasn't good and was priced way to high for what it was. My wife and I started with the creamy artichoke dip which was kinda bland but was the best thing we had, I'd give it a 3/10. For our main we both had the Steakhouse French Dip with Brussel sprouts and bacon as our side. The French dip states it has thinly sliced steak but instead was what just looked like a ripped apart burger patty. Also to note, there was barely any meat on it. The sandwich was also much smaller than your traditional French Dip. All for the whopping price of $16.50. The Au Jus it came with was good but it didn't taste good when paired with the sandwich which was essentially just a bad burger with provolone cheese. I'd give it a 1/10. The Brussel sprouts and bacon were exactly that. They were bland and very under seasoned. I'd give it a 2/10, as at least the Brussel sprouts weren't undercooked and crunchy. We also both ordered an Old Fashioned drink, which was $9. I asked for mine made with rye and asked for them to use whatever similar rye (Assuming they'd use one of similar price). They said that's fine. Drink was fine, but on the bill it showed that it was charged for a shot of rye for $13 and for a $2 old fashioned drink coming to $15 for my Old Fashioned. Not once was I explained that their cheapest rye would be an upcharge. If I had known that I would have stuck to the regular whiskey that came with the drink. I've ordered my Old Fashioned like this at many resturaunts and bars of all varying fanciness and pricing. I've never once had this happen. I had already paid for it and had to get it fixed to which they removed $5 off the bill which wasn't even the real price difference. The service at this place wasn't the worst I've seen, but it wasn't great. It took quite some time to take our order for everything or catch our waitress. Overall not the worst we've seen so I'd give the service a 4/10. Lastly ending on a good note, the atmosphere wasn't bad and our booth was very comfy. I've sat in so many bad booths at resturants. Was nice to finally have a nice soft one. I'd give the atmosphere sphere a 7/10. Overall this place is overpriced, not good, expect service speed to be mediocre, and as seen from some other reviews expect some charges on your bill to review...
Read moreI've been to Toast a handful of times and the food has always been outstanding. Last night, I had the pleasure indulging in their mouthwatering Steakhouse French Dip Sandwich. Let me start by saying that it was an absolutely delicious experience from start to finish.
The moment I walked into Toast, I was greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere. The restaurant had a cozy ambiance with farmhouse/vintage decor, creating a pleasant environment for a meal. The staff was friendly and accommodating, making me feel right at home.
Now, let's talk about the star of the show—the Steakhouse French Dip Sandwich. This delectable creation was a true delight for my taste buds. The tender slices of perfectly seared steak were piled high on a fresh, crusty baguette, accompanied by a serving of au jus for dipping. The flavors were rich and robust, with the steak boasting a melt-in-your-mouth texture that left me craving for more. Each savory bite was a symphony of flavor.
While the food at Toast was undoubtedly outstanding, I must mention that the beverage selection left a bit to be desired. The options were limited, and I found myself wishing for a wider array of choices to complement my meal. However, the restaurant made up for this with the quality of their food, ensuring that even without an extensive beverage selection, my dining experience remained memorable.
One aspect worth noting is that the kitchen at Toast tends to take a bit longer than other restaurants. This may be a point of concern for those seeking a quick meal, but I assure you, the wait is well worth it. The attention to detail and the care put into each dish is evident in the exceptional flavors that come out of their kitchen. So, if you're willing to be patient, you'll be rewarded with a culinary experience that surpasses expectations.
In conclusion, Toast is a hidden gem for food enthusiasts seeking outstanding flavors. While the beverage selection might be limited and the kitchen might take a bit longer than anticipated, the quality of the food is undeniably exceptional. If you're looking for a new favorite place to eat, I highly recommend giving...
Read moreMy husband and I tried this place for our anniversary date because we were looking for a restaurant with gluten free options for me. I have an autoimmune condition that requires me to be gluten free in order to reduce inflammation. I researched the reviews and menu and thought this would work. Unfortunately, after ordering our appetizer (chips and dip) that is labeled as gluten free, I read the tiny warning at the bottom of the menu stating that there isn’t a gluten free fryer which poses a risk for cross contamination. I understand that it may not be feasible for every restaurant to offer these accommodations but please don’t advertise that on your menu unless an item is truly gluten free. That can really affect some people’s health journey.
Also, the gluten free bun that was available was not good. Very dry and it fell apart. This isn’t surprising as it’s rare to find a good gluten free bun. This didn’t affect my rating but felt I should give a heads up. (Cisco has a good gf bun if you guys decide to change it haha)
I don’t usually leave reviews like this but it’s hard to find places that accommodate gluten sensitivity and it can be really discouraging when you think you found one only to realize it’s not after you get there. This is to give a heads up to anyone else with the same needs.
The meat on my Ruben was great and my husband loved his French dip sandwich! The artichoke dip was overcooked and didn’t have...
