Hoshi Express — Restaurant in Lincolnton

Went here on a Wednesday because I wanted something Asian and I forgot Khins was closed. No dinning room, it's closed for some reason. Had to order at the drive through lane. Ordered the jumbo shrimp teriyaki. Was told it would take a bit longer.. No problem they are probably making it fresh. I was referred here by a friend saying they had great food, and large portions. Sadly this was horribly wrong. The shrimp were mediums at best and so overly cooked I thought they still had the shells on. Plenty of them? No way. I had like 6 shrimp in a large amount of mushrooms. They did provide a big cup of yum yum sauce luckily to provide at least some flavor to this travesty...

Well I used to love Hoshi Express in Lincolnton, until a few bites into my meal, I found a dead fly under the carrots I had been eating! When I told them about it in person, and I even showed him THIS photo, and asked for a refund, the man working didn’t even apologize, he acted like he didn’t like that I asked. He asked for my receipt, and I gave it to him. He came back from talking to someone and gave me my money back. Once I associate something with food, I cannot get it out of my head. So I will always associate their food with “dead fly.” I will never eat...

Gross. We have only been to the one in shelby. But it is a chain. We've given it 3 chances since the first time was horrendous. All three times its been awful. Always cold and slimy. Noodles well beyond done. Selection choices are lousy.... I really don't have much to say. It's not one item is worth a description. It's just GROSS. Even the rice. How can you mess up the rice?. If you want to waste your money. Try it out. If you don't, find another...
