I believe in only leaving honest reviews and trust others to provide the same so here goes: Service: Wish I could leave a zero for the “hostess” who never greeted us with even a smile, just looked at my disabled adult daughter and said a table number to the escort who took us to the last table in the back, next to the kitchen and servers station. Meanwhile, she greeted others by asking if they preferred a booth, a table or a combination of both. Please ask the same from me, regardless of my daughters appearance AND ask if we would appreciate a table closer to the door since you CLEARLY saw she had trouble walking. Shame. Our server was okay, copped an attitude when I asked questions as if I was keeping her from something far more important, then copped a bigger attitude when I questioned the 50 cent up charge for marinara sauce that I never asked for (with an order of cheese sticks, so please note there’s an up charge for a tablespoon of marinara if you order cheese sticks!). It’s not the 50 cents, it’s the fact I didn’t ask for it so don’t charge me for it OR ask ME if I even want it! Ridiculous. Food: My husband liked the ribs, he was disappointed he couldn’t get a side salad with them, not sure why, just told “no”. I had steak tips, medium rare. Pretty boring and inconsistent with the cook; some super rare and others more medium, likely because of their inconsistent sizing. I mentioned the cook to our server who just walked away and didn’t acknowledge me. They say 8oz on the menu, definitely precooked weight because 5 small tips didn’t come close to a half pound on my plate! Cheese sticks: despite the ridiculous 50 cent upcharge for marinara we never tasted or ordered, they were not awful, they were unusually large and way too much for one person as an appetizer. Coffee: wouldn’t know. Was told to wait a few minutes so they could brew a fresh pot then 15 minutes later told “coffee maker isn’t working” no apology no alternative like “can I bring you some tea”, nothing. Cherry cobbler: meh, not bad but not great; tasted like it was previously frozen in my opinion. You’re in the south, the cobbler should’ve been incredible! Ambiance: not for date night! Too bright, too loud, not a romantic spot and not furnished like you’d want for a date night restaurant (unless you’re in high school!). Okay for families with young kids and they do have a kids menu. I will honestly not go back there for several reasons but most importantly because of how that “hostess” (who was a mature woman, and should’ve had the same respect for a disabled young lady as she did for every other paying customer) treated us, looked at us and then smirked at us when our server told her I ASKED a question about an up charge! Couldn’t care less about the 50 cents, I just wanted to know why she charged me for something I didn’t ask for.
That “hostess” needs to realize she’s the first impression at a new restaurant in town and because of her, I will not give them a second chance at making a first impression. If she’s a manager or an owner, she needs to make an attitude adjustment QUICKLY. Put yourself in my shoes for ONE day and maybe you’ll have the decency to show the same respect to ALL your clientele. Lincolnton desperately needs a great new place with great food, ambiance, service: I’m sorry to say...
Read moreNo one was happier about a new restaurant replacing sorry fatz, I had been looking forward to going since they opened, so when I finally went , it was almost identical to the way fatz ended up in the last 5 years , first impressions were good it was crowded but it's Friday so that's normal, wait time was great they said 30 and we got in at 25 mins even though it's packed so very nice, sat down and it did take long to just order drinks but I don't hold that against them it's a new place , but as for the food , nah waffle house cooks a steak better, takes so long to get served I believe food is getting made faster than they can take it out , my filet looked as it was cooked properly med rare , however the middle was so hot it almost burn my tongue I'm for real lol so you know that means they microwaved it because it got cold waiting, and the special "carolina Cajun seasoning" horrible it over powered my dry microwave steak, then the other filet my son had same temp , was so dry and tasteless again microwave steak Wife had the ribs and them ribs was dry as hell , the sauce not my cup of tea but I won't judge that to much , my other kids burger, over cooked and not served as we ordered it we ask for plain comes out all toppings, not that big of deal , same with my under cooked potato but not mad about that either, but come on steak and ribs are in your name , and so to be clean I am judging you compared to outback , Texas roadhouse, ect... with that being Said this place brings up the rear on this list
Side note, we watched 5 tables get the wrong food and even watch a server spill 2 glasses of water on a ladies back and you know what the waiter said ? He then proceeded to joke and ask about exchanging shirts , lmao yeah
My hope is that you read these negative comments and fix the issues other wise yeah fatz 2.0 and you'll have the same...
Read moreSo my husband and I was out and about in lincolnton and seen this steakhouse and decided to go in and give it a try!!! We decided just to have an appetizer and share an entree just to try it out!!! Well we ordered cheese sticks and the Philly cheese steaks!!! After we ordered we happened to notice a table tent with wings and 1/2 off wine on Monday. I look for service and couldn’t find her so I ask the hostess to get. We really wanted wings in the 1st place so when the server made it back to the table we ask her about the wings to which she couldn’t even tell us sauces they provided or if they could sell all drums. She finally went back to the kitchen and ask!!! We ordered the wings to which we were told came in a dry rub!!! In the meantime we got the cheese sticks we ordered and they were over cooked with no cheese in half of them. Later I’m assuming it was a manager that came to our table and informed us that they didn’t have a dry rub so we chose garlic Parmesan as our second choice. The wings were terrible basically over cooked wings in butter sauce no favor very little Parmesan cheese on them. So when the server came back I ask to bring me a side of hot sauce and she bought me a bottle of Texas Pete!!! My husband and I just looked at each other and laughed!!!! At the end The server ask us how everything was and she could tell by our response that we were not satisfied!!! So she ask what was wrong we told and she did apologize but no manager ever came to our to try and set things right The check was dropped with no type of discount or anything. We definitely will not be back If the establishment can’t pull off appetizers. I’m sure not gonna spend $32 for a steak and hope...
