I’ve been eager to try 3 Legged Brewing for a while now. They had a delayed opening, but they offered a temporary solution with a portable coffee trailer at farmers' markets, where you could sample their nitro-brewed coffee. It was a pleasure to finally walk into their shop and explore all they have to offer.
First impressions: it's a cozy atmosphere. Contrary to a previous review that described it as having a "corporate feel," I found it quite the opposite. The barista was very friendly, and their menu caters to everyone with many unique options. I was a bit overwhelmed by the numerous choices, so I asked the barista to make me their favorite drink.
My iced nitro coffee was excellent. The barista's favorite coffee used ice cream instead of traditional milk or creamer, which was a delightful twist. The price was about $8 plus tax for my drink. At first, it might seem a bit pricey, but considering the process and machinery involved, it makes sense.
You can also purchase cans of their coffee for $5 each or 4 for $18. This coffee shop is perfect for treating yourself to some premium coffee while working on your laptop or catching up with a friend over a good cup of joe.
One piece of feedback I have is regarding a sign near their cash register offering 50% off your next coffee if you leave a Google review. Incentivizing Google reviews is not allowed, and although it raises some concern, I won’t let this affect my overall positive review of the business.
Overall, I enjoyed the coffee and the experience at 3 Legged Brewing. Highly...
Read moreWhat a wonderful experience. Right from the door you’re greeted by Jen the barista, who pinpointed EXACTLY what I would like. She’s very good at describing what a drink would taste like, and the drink came out exactly how she’d explained it to be, down to the aftertaste! Seriously, this is the best Mint Chocolate coffee I’ve ever had in my LIFE! Apparently it’s made with peppermint oil & cocoa powder. Jen is exceptional at small talk and makes the whole place feel extremely welcoming. I got to sample like 3 of her drinks while I was there. The Argentinian tea I tried was SO GOOD! Also the Nitro Brews are definitely STRONG
The matcha is real matcha powder, not some sweetened pre-made concoction that you’ll see at places like Starbucks. They do have a list of syrups and sugar-free syrups that you can choose but honestly I trust Jen to just make me something she recommends.
As far as the actual coffee shop, it is extremely dog friendly and you get a free drink if you bring your dog! Teachers get a 10% discount as well.
The free WiFi and outlets everywhere make this a great place to study or work from home.
This is also a very LGBTQ+ friendly spot and the environment is very inviting and welcoming. Love the gender neutral bathrooms!!
The drinks may be a tad overpriced but Jen’s expertise alone to be able to deliver exactly what you’re looking for makes it feel like a personalized service...
Read moreI've been looking forward to a local coffee shop, as I spend most of my days off exploring local coffee shops. I was hoping this would fit my taste, since I live in Lindenhurst. Unfortunately, this doesn't have that local feel, that I crave. Actually seems more corporate with the canned options and cold brew on tap. I just wanted a good cup of coffee and a small coffee shop feel. The pour over was really good, but didn't really care for the atmosphere...I will, however, give it a second chance, but I doubt the corporate feel will be something I can get past. I hate Starbucks for this exact reason. I would like to point out that the batista was very friendly and used her recipe card to ensure she did it right, but the owners or other employees were congregating at a table to the side and didn't seem to appreciate that they had customers visiting their shop.
I appreciate that you were visiting with friends, and yes, the team member who served me did a great job. I also appreciate that you got the vibe you were going for. I looked online and saw the same feel in other parts of the country, so I guess "corporate" was about right. Congratulations on the new coffee shop. I suppose if I had just given the 5 stars and received the 50% off my next coffee that you advertised, you wouldn't be so defensive. Congratulations on the new coffee shop in our neighborhood. It may be for some,...
