The sandwiches here are excellent, no doubt about it! My only problem is that the employee in the sandwich line that puts the toppings on, always seems to have a problem with the fact that, I don't want my sandwich, "Mike's Way." Today, when I was telling him how I wanted my sandwich made, he rolled his eyes at me. Not everyone wants their sandwich, "Mike's Way." Their sandwiches are much better than Subway, but the people at Subway are happy to make your sandwich with whatever ingredients you want on top of it. I wish the owner here would tell his employees that customers can have their sandwiches made with whatever toppings on their sandwiches they want, and also put on however they want. I like my tomatoes right on top of the meat. under the other ingredients, so they don't slide off the top of the lettuce and out the side while I am trying to eat it. Whenever I ask for them to put the tomatoes on first. They say, do you want it, "Mike's Way?" I say no, put extra tomatoes on top of the meat first. Then they say, do you want it, "Mike's Way" again. What? Are you a robot? You would think that I asked for their first born child or something. It's just crazy! I have been a regular here since they opened the doors and no matter who is putting the ingredients on top of my sandwich, he or she always seems to have a problem with what ingredients, in what oder, I want on top of it. It's just weird and uncomfortable ordering there. Today, I was so weirded out by the guy's comments and rolling his eyes, I accidentally ordered the vinegar instead of oil on my sandwich, and it totally ruined the taste of it. Of course, I will still come back to this restaurant, I just hate being made to feel like, I shouldn't be able to have my sandwich they way that I like it, and have it the way...
Read moreI was really disappointed today, when usually I can count on Jersey Mike's to be fairly quick. Today, I ordered two sandwiches one that is cold and one that is hot. The cold one was prepared right away, but the hot one took over 15 minutes while my cold one was getting warm. I watched while the cook made other online or telephone orders and put those to be cooked before ours even though we ordered first. When I repeatedly asked about our sandwich, they kept saying it would be one more minute but it ended up being over 15. The last straw was when they said that this sandwich will be made when the rest of the sandwiches on the grill would be made, even though that represented the second batch of phone or online orders that came after mine. When I explained that I was in a rush and was running late for an appointment, the cashier in a rude way said "we're doing the best we can." And when the sandwich was done she literally threw it at me. Although the hot sandwich was fine, the cold sandwich was too warm by the time the hot sandwich was done. Really disappointed with customer service and the lack of attention and care to paying customers that are there ready and willing to eat but who must wait for other online and phone orders. Literally every table in the restaurant was filthy. The floor was sticky. And the front door was filled with handprints as though it had not been cleaned in days. Don't even ask about the bathrooms! Not sure if I can ever go to this...
Read moreI have tried two different subs so far. The food is great and filling. Also, I always get a sub for my spouse too but have all the items that make it soggy put on the side so that he can eat it when I get home or after work. The staff is always willing to do the extra and when I forget to order "Mike's Style" they make sure to double check it with me. I love that they try to make sure you will be happy with the food you are getting even as a take out, so many other places and employees take advantage of mistakes and laziness, nice that their staff does not. I also, like that not only do the have just regular subs that you can order in three different sizes, they also have warm or cooked sub sandwiches too. That a nice change so if you might want a warm Philly but your spouse really wants a sub, now you both can get what you want without having to go to a regular sit down restaurant. For me so far my favorite sub has been the Buffalo chicken but looking forward to trying...
