Again? I rarely order Deli sands anymore; but here we are again the one time that I do and place the order for delivery, the shopper gets to the deli and no sandwhich under my name. Publix should be honest and tell it's patrons that they'll be out of luck if trying to place a sandwhich order anytime 8pm or later. However, I don't understand, the store doesn't close until 10 pm. I should be able to get a sandwhich if I place an order at 8:20 and why does my shopper have to tell me no sandwhiches were made. the order had the chips and lemonade I ordered, so why not the sandwhichs? Unapologetically, I say. "this publix sucks!!!".
At opening November 2022 the deli area was paraded with 4 people at minimum on the sandwich line. A manager proudly working (not making sandwiches), the area and greeting customers. (Have never seen that guy again). Get in line, order your sub, salad, etc., and walking away with food in hand in less than 10 minutes, give or take. It only took about 2 weeks or less for this to go left and a downward spiral ever since. Standing in the sandwich line for 30 minutes is unacceptable, be it the lunch or dinner rush. I made this Publix my go to store from inception because of the convenience and proximity to my home location but Iām starting to consider if itās a wise choice to continue. The deli area has workers making online orders and making customers who are physically there wait in between. If someone in management thought it wise to have 4-5 workers in the deli in the beginning, then why not continue. Iāve had a cashier say to me, āOh, I can tell youāre old enoughā, when I asked if she needed to see my ID. I had a nice bottle of $35 Merlot and only asked her because she most certainly didnāt ask me! Hmmnn, I thought for alcohol, by law, you should card everybody whoās purchasing alcohol. I canāt say enough about how disappointed I am about this location at Sandtown Crossing because Iād always held Publix overall to a more different and higher standard. The price for items should make for the best customer experience but a majority of folks who work there act either disgruntled, frustrated, overworked and overwhelmed or just plain unconcerned; some even act privileged , like theyāre doing you some huge favor. No doubt there are some a few good employees there, like the lady who made my sub yesterday. She didnāt have to, but she thanked me for my patience. It was not the only time by far that Iāve waited that long, but itās the only time Iāve been shown the courtesy and professionalism she displayed. Itās a real turn off and dissatisfaction to...
Ā Ā Ā Read morePublix sincerely and proactively uses the possessive pronoun āOURā In my case it was used in a way that assured me that I was about to be helped with my non-grocery related problems
On the way home from Church on Sunday 6/2/2024 I decided to drive over to the Publix on Campbellton Rd near Camp Creek. Atlanta Store #1718 they call it. I parked, I got out of the car and I locked it. I locked my car so well that my purse, my phone and the car keys were all locked in the car together.
So I went into Publix, walked over to the office desk and explained that I needed to speak with the Manager about being locked out of my car. A call was quickly made and I spotted a young lady heading our way juggling documents, and some other items. I walked over to meet her and nervously summarized what I had done. Without any further questions, Manager, (Emanne) said to an Assistant Manager, (Jareka), āplease help"OUR " customer".
ā¦ā¦ā¦ā¦ā¦...OUR?..... customer sounded different to me. I was expecting this customer, the customer, maybe even that customerā¦ā¦ā¦ā¦ā¦..
Jareka instinctively pulled out her cell phone and simultaneously picked up a receiver on a desk phone. She searched for numbers on one and dialed with the other using the wait time to prepare for any alternative sources for services I might need. It was Jareka, who gave me the news that it would take an hour for the service to arrive. I was still grateful, and I was going to go outside and lean on the wall for an hour. But then Jareka asked me if I would like to wait in OUR customer Lounge? Excuse me I said, you have a lounge and I can sit in it? Why yes it is for OUR customers and OUR employees. Let me take you there.
There are four Publix Grocery Stores in my traveling radius, and Store #1718 is the newest. The Lounge was delightful, modern, and contemporary, & there was a restroom. I could see my locked car from the windows. I waited there for 40 minutes in OUR lounge and then came outside for the remainder.
The car service called on Jarekaās cell phone to say that they had arrived and were looking for the car. Remember, my cell was locked in the car so Jarekaās phone was the only way to keep in touch with me. She came outside to let me know they were somewhere in the parking lot and she helped me spot the service vehicle and the driver. OUR mission was accomplished. She was leaving and saying goodbye, when I said oh no I will be comming back into the store to do the shopping now, which I planned to do when I first arrived. Thank You Publix #1718, Your...
Ā Ā Ā Read morePublix Deli Dept. represents the store brand in a negative manner. It should not take over 30 minutes to get a sandwich made. I go to the Publix in Buckhead (Roswell Rd.or Alpharetta (McGinnis Ferry) get in and out in almost less than 15 mins . This is a shame. Publix as a whole started out really good but now nobody cares in that store. The Pharmacy only has one lady that give people problems. She can never say yes to any questions. This is the older black lady. She is a Floater. I wish she would float away from the Publix Pharmacy at Sandtown Crossing. One time I called to check on a prescription and she answered the phone chewing food. Now that is very unprofessional. I know her voice . It was definitely the older black with no answers. The deli and pharmacy need to be scrubbed of bad employees. The only time those employees provide good customer service is when headquarters management is visiting. There were no lines at the busiest time of day when corporate was visiting. It is one white male Pharmacist that is very professional and helpful. Employees have a smile on their face when he is working. It is really sad how we treat our own neighborhood store. This store is in the vicinity of over $500 million dollars homes. The service should be top notch when homeowners are paying for such expensive homes. Corporate please provide additional training on customer service to this establishment or get people that want to work. I have never seen a Publix become completely disgusting to shop in for groceries but there is always a first for everything. Please save Publix Crossing at Sandtown if not I will have resume shopping...
