My fiancĂ© and I have been regulars at the pub for years now. We have met there countless times before we even started dating, during dating, and now being engaged. Before the bar rescue and before a Publix was built behind it. The pub is hit or miss really depending on what shift is working at the time. We have experienced long waits (hour plus) for food, poor service, and still repeatedly go back due to the pub being the only place near the house with a bar (drinks are ok) and food (literally never know if the food will be good or not just hope for the best) if you donât feel like driving to camp creek. It takes servers 30-40 minutes at times just to bring a beer from the bar. This past Friday (11/18/22) was the worst experience we have ever had at the pub. We came with friends after leaving a birthday celebration, we arrived at 11:15 pm and did not get our food until almost 1 am. Some people with us became so frustrated with the terrible service they just left (embarrassing). Other full tables around us hadnât received food either, people started walking out, taking frustrations out on undeserving servers, and it became an uncomfortable environment. When the food finally came it was cold and the orders were wrong. (A chicken Philly with NO CHEESE..like is the cook high? cold fries with the other orders) the server was trying her best but clearly I see why they never keep any of their good waitresses. Until another place opens nearby this place wonât change, as you can see the owner saying thank you under such terrible feedback from customers should tell you that she is comfortable because she knows she has a monopoly on a prominent black area of southwest Atlanta.
Itâs sad that we have to go outside of our community to receive good service.
Only leaving this review here because my comment was ERASED from their Instagram instead of addressed. Extremely disappointed in what we always called our spot, a place we have spent thousands, in how they treated us. Last night 9/20/21 was the worst experience I have ever encountered at any restaurant in the state of Georgia. Myself along with a couple of friends stopped in last night after leaving a concert to have a toast for one of our friend's Birthday. Before we ordered the drink we asked the waitress if it was ok to order. The waitress clearly stated yes. Before leaving a couple of us went to the bathroom. There are only 2 stalls in the bathroom, therefore we had to respect each others privacy. Once I entered the stall, someone pushed the door opened and yelled "WE ARE CLOSED AND YALL NEED TO COME OUT". I was at total disbelief. I asked my friend was that a man that just opened the door and yelled we need to come out. Before she could reply he pushed the door opened again and yelled "YES" "AND YALL NEED TO COME OUT AND LEAVE". I could not use the bathroom. I felt disrespected and totally violated!! I immediately pulled up my pants and came out of the stall and exited the bathroom. Upon us coming out of the bathroom he was standing at the door still making insulting comments. Yelling "YALL NEED TO LEAVE - WE CLOSED - BYE BYE". I then asked for the manager? The waitress replied he is the manager. Which clearly exemplified the service. Last night was a nightmare that we was not expecting, especially after spending money. It was as if they got our money then wanted us to leave immediately after. I have never been so disrespected or humiliated to that compacity at any business. The professionalism is gone. This place needs to be shut down. I have witnessed several unprofessional behaviors from the employees. The bartender drinking with the customers, Waitresses arguing with customers, excessive long waits on food and drinks and falsifying customers tickets. If you want to spend your money and get poor customer service and cussed out then go there!!!!!!!! The worst please stay away!!!... They will be reported to the better...
   Read moreVisited this place on the evening of the 4th of July and the service was horrible. I sat in the dining area and was immediately greeted when I sat down. I thought ok cool this should be a quick in and out experience. I wasn't sure what I wanted so the server brought me a menu. She didn't come back until 15 minutes later. I had to actually flag her down after she walked passed me twice. I had closed the menus and stacked them at the end of the table indicating that I was ready to order but she paid me no mind. When I flagged her down and told her I was ready she looked at me as if she had never spoken to me in the first place. I ordered something from the bar and a fish sandwich with 5 wings. My food took about 35 to 40 minutes to come and I want to reiterate that the place wasn't busy. My server came back to ask me 3 different times after placing my initial order what did I order again! I was puzzled and after the second time thought I was getting punked. My server seemed to be under the influence of something. She was very dazed and confused. My sandwich and fries (fries were cold) finally come but no wings. Now mind you she asked me 3 different times what I wanted as in coming back to the table 3 different times. I said where is my wings? She said "what wings, you wanted wings?" I said yes. She asked what flavor? I said are you kidding me? You asked me that 3 times already. Smh. Wings came about 10 minutes later. I asked for ranch dressing and she brings back tartar sauce. I also order a water. The server stated that all they have is bottled Dasani. I said yes that's fine. She never brings me the water. Smh at this point I give up and ask for the check. I didn't even finish my food. I had completely lost my appetite. I take the wings to go and she asked me 4 times if I wanted a bag. Every time I stated no I'll just carry the box out. After I paid my bill I asked for my receipt because she took my copy when she took the signed copy. That took an additional 15 minutes. Never...
