I called in an order to Golden Chicken on 380/Paloma Creek on 5/24 at app 5 :45 p.m. I initially placed 3 separate orders. When I arrived I attempted to ask the young man at the window about subbing a drink for a side on one of the orders. In his attempt to figure out which order I was referring to I realized that they had all 3 orders wrong. I in turn relayed to him my initial orders at which time another gentleman came to the window, apparently a mgr. He as well continued to quote me the wrong orders. I was trying to explain to him what the orders were, that each would be paid for individually, and that I needed receipts. At some point the apparent store mgr came to the window, tried to decipher the confusion, yet failed to do so. In his frustration he said to me, " we have other customers behind you which we have to take care of. I've given more food than you ordered so you can leave." First of all I didn't ask for extra food, I simply wanted things as I ordered. In my frustration, I simply left. Secondly I get home, not one piece is correct , and to boot, the food is cold. I have visited this establishment on a few occasions, ordering large amounts of food for several people and have never had this problem. This one particular time has left me questioning whether or not i'lll visit again. In light of the managers attitude, I don't see anything being resolved via contacting them by phone. I would appreciate a reply from the store and/or general manager. Thank you... I wouldn't even give them one star but It will not allow me to submit otherwise. It also confuses me, as I read the reviews, that you only respond to the...

The first, I'm sitting in the drive thru in front of the menu, 1 person ahead of me at the window. For at least ten minutes no one says anything on the menu speaker. No one comes up to our car. When I get to the window the person working is surprised that I haven't ordered yet. Weird because it's his job to take the orders. Anyways while I'm telling him my order he's turning around not paying attention. Surprise surprise the order comes and one of the meals is a completely different than what we ordered.
The second, based on the last time, we thought it would be a good idea to order online. So we get there when it's supposed to be ready. Go thru the drive thru. It isn't ready yet so pull around to the front and we'll bring it out. Ok no problem. 15 minutes later I conclude that they've simply forgotten about us, which they had. So I go inside. I tell the cashier I had an online order and I've been waiting outside for 15 minutes. No words. He just turns around and grabs the order, which was sitting in a heater where they keep food warm. He makes a drink, which we didn't order. Hands me the bag of food. Again no words. We ordered jalapeños and there was a bag of them on a table behind him. So when I get the bag I look thru it and ask, are the jalapeños in here? What does he say? Again, he says nothing. He just shrugs. This is the guy they chose to be up front talking to people. He's the best they had. That really says a lot.
There wasn't a single employee there that looked remotely competent. I can't go back because I simply don't trust these people to...
Read moreWicked wings are good. I know Popeyes premiered fried mini wings to compete against Wing Stop but skip BOTH and get this dry rub. It's wicked good. Fried catfish fillets are thin and [the batter] tastes standard (that means good). I should still taste more fillet than batter for a $10 combo. Am not sure what the fries are battered with, but could be more seasoned rather than tasting double fried. The food was luke warm and not served hot. The prices online are cents cheaper than the drive thru, oddly.
Update: Now to think about it, although the batter is seasoned correctly, the fillets are way too thin to be catfish.
Second visit. I drove past recently again and decided to try more of its menu. Six dollars for a one piece combo is overpriced thus sad, but I am glad it offers a roasted option that is well seasoned and very good. Them wicked wings are still amazing. If this place would switch the batter for the wicked seasoning for the fries, then I'd be a happy french fry. Bun is soft and sweet. I'm confident that if Popeyes is too far and this is closer by, then just go here because it's worth it. I rarely say that.
Third visit. So I tried both the mild and spicy chicken sandwiches. I am more of a spicy chicken sandwich person. Verdict: Chick-fil-A still takes the crown for spicy chicken sandwiches. If you're a spicy mayo on a mild chicken patty type of sandwich person, then this place [or Popeyes] is more your speed. I will stick to recommending the wicked wings...
