I really, really, REALLY wanted to like this place, but they just made it so hard. Staff were super nice, and the place looked spotless. Only about 3 other customers there so I figured this would be would be a slam-dunk for them. I'd read that Hardee's had pretty good chicken sandwiches, so I ordered a "Big Chicken" combo, and the lady apologized and said they're out - how does that even happen? But okay, I maybe caught them on the one day that someone ordered 200 chicken sandwiches for the Smith family reunion, so I ordered a cheeseburger combo with a 1/3 pound beef patty and fries. As I waited for my order, I went to get a raspberry iced tea. They were out, but someone quickly fixed the problem, so I'm still feeling somewhat positive. I then go to the ketchup dispenser, and there's a sign that says something like "the dispenser is not out of ketchup, you just need to push the lever fast." After pushing as fast as I could several times, and getting about half a teaspoon of ketchup, I advised the lady that it wasn't working for me, and asked for some packages of ketchup. She replied that the dispenser was out of ketchup (what?) then cheerfully gave me several packages of ketchup. By then my order was ready. Fries were hot and good - kind of a small serving, but not a big deal. The problem was the burger. The patty was rather dry, like it was either overcooked or had been sitting in warmer for far too long. Additionally, the cheese was only partially melted (okay fine, maybe lots of people prefer it that way, just not me, so no points deducted), but the sandwich had way too much Mayo on both sides. This worked as an effective lubricant, especially between the tomato and the patty, so that whenever I picked it up or bit into it, the patty tried it's best to exit out the opposite side of the sandwich, which was certainly a new experience for me. To prevent this, I had to keep pushing it back in, which was both messy and annoying, especially since the patty wasn't that great to begin with. I wasn't upset with this dining experience, or the staff, just disappointed at the seeming general lack of passion for getting things right and creating an enjoyable experience, especially when it would've taken so little...
Read moreGrowing up in southeast Tennessee Hardee’s was the standard for good breakfast biscuits. You knew that what ever store you went into the biscuits were hot and fresh when you got them. There was always a table of senior citizens, usually WW2 veterans sitting in a corner that you could join and hear hours of stories. Hardee’s was good, it was dependable and the employees cared about what the provided.
What I have experienced over and over from this location is the opposite. I always stop in when I leave my home in Bryant on my way to East Tennessee. First, I am always told to pull forward and wait for my food. On the last visit the same happened. Once I got my my food, my bacon egg and cheese biscuit was missing the egg and cheese. Thankfully the gentleman that delivered it when back in to get us mayo for the chicken biscuits, when he came back out he took the biscuit back in. At this point we had been waiting 15 minutes from the order time. After 5 minutes I went in to check on the biscuit. When I finally got to the register and explained to the young lady I still needed the BEC, she proceeded to go over and open each biscuit on the counter to check and see which one was a BEC, then wrap them back up. At that point she asked the guy that took my biscuit, he had forgotten about me and pointed to the biscuit he took from me, I was back on the biscuit rack, he told someone in the back to add egg and cheese to it. I told them I would prefer a fresh biscuit, at this point 25 minutes since order. So they took my bacon biscuit and put it in someone else’s order in the drive through. That biscuit was handled my bare hands, the cashier, the guy bagging food, then given to someone in the drive through (I’ll mention the next day I tested positive for flu). This place is a disaster and is in desperate need of leadership to step in to...
Read moreWe are OTR truck drivers and we frequent Loves truck stops. We made this our stop for the night and decided to eat at Hardees. The restaurant was very dirty no clean tables drinks were out of order and there was ketchup on the floor I understand if it was busy but my family of 4 were the only ones in there at the time. So my husband was ordering and Gabrielle the “lady” that was taking our order was very impatient and rude. She kept turning around and making faces as if we were taking to long. She kept making demeaning comments like “I’m going to be here for awhile aren’t I” and “I don’t have all night”. At first I just thought she was having a bad day but then everyone else that came in after us was greeted with a smile and a pleasant attitude. It wasn’t until she said “hey Mexicans” to get our attention when our food was ready did I realize that it was a race thing. I have no idea how she got this job but she should definitely not be in a place where people have to encounter her AT ALL. I was in shock especially in the world we live in today. We did nothing to deserve the comments she made or the way she made my children feel. She is giving this loves Store #457 in Little Rock Arkansas a very bad reputation. I feel bad for anyone else who has to deal with her disgusting way of thinking. I hope she don’t say that stuff to the wrong...
