We booked our room online this past Sunday. We checked in around 7:30 pm. We were told the room was going to be $84. My reservation confirmation said it was $68.99. There were 5 of us, 2 adults, 3 teens. My reservation said 5 people. I apparently had selected a smoking room, and he told me that was why it was less. He said since it was late and they were not that busy (it was a Sunday), that he would honor the price and give us a non smoking room. We had just driven from Galveston, from a cruise. We live in Kentucky. We needed to wash some clothes and go grabs some dinner. We asked for a few extra towels and a pillow, we were told they didn't have any extra since housekeeping was gone. We brought our things up to the room, including my husband's camera case. There were cameras all over the property. So, we went to leave, after I put the clothes in. Mind you, I checked in, and paid cash, and have a SIGNED receipt and my room keys. We were set. My receipt says "5 people". Signed. Done. So, as were were leaving, I looked up and saw Orlando (the front desk clerk) and another man "Bob" going into our room!!!! I said excuse me and got out of our van, and Orlando turned around, and the guy with him went into the room next to ours (#230). We were in 228. So, I met him down by the washer and he told me that he had tried to call me. I was in the room for an hour and a half and no one called the room or our cell phones. When they went in, they turned off the lights. He said that his owner called and told him that he needed to charge us $10 per child, since only 2 people are allowed per two beds. So, he wanted me to pay extra for my 3 kids. Mind you, I have a key and have already paid. My laundry was in the washer, my kids exausted. It is 9:30 pm at night. We already brought things up to the room. I said to him, calmly 'We already have a key and paid for 5 people." He said his owner told him that he has to make us pay $30 extra or we need to leave right away!!!! So, we talked and we were told to leave. I was VERY calm. I went up to the room and had the kids get our things and he stood out in the balcony area, where no cameras are by our room, and had $60 in cash in his pocket. He tried to get the key from me in the balcony area, not the office! He did not give me a copy of my receipt when I had checked in, only an email that I have. So, I told him that I paid $69.99 and I wanted EVERY dime back and he could meet me in the lobby. So, he followed me back and I told him that I wanted a copy of my receipt and I wanted my money back. I asked him to call his owner and he said he was not available, yet he had just called him???? I asked him again why he was in my room, he said it was to tell me about the $30. Doubt it!!!! Anyways, he gave me my money and receipt. What they did was wrong. And, as a Property Manager and traveler, I have NEVER been told to leave a room after getting a key! It would be no different than me renting you an apartment and giving you a key after you paid rent and deposit, then I change my mind on a whim and say "Oh, you need to pay more" and give me the key back! This was wrong. Unprofessional. And an awful thing to do to a family in the middle of the night. Just awful. And the owner, Andy Patidar, has not contacted us back. Has said NOTHING about this. Read moreFirst issue was after checking in there was BLOOD on our comforter. Went to the office to get new ones and was told “ You are only allowed one” after explaining I didn’t want an extra one but a new one I was then told “ oh I don’t have access to the linen” Fine won’t sleep with blankets…cool…second issue was with Front office skinny dark hair “women” is very rude. I was lock out of my room after already staying 2 weeks went to the front office to get new key and because my name is not on the reservation I couldn’t get key myself she stated “ I don’t know you have been here this whole time” then I asked ma’am how would you feel being locked out and you small children are in the room alone this “woman” said and I quote “ I don’t know you let’s not get personal” not tryin to argue I ask if she can call the number on file and see if they have already left to the site if not hey I might actually have a chance to get a key. Once on the phone now I’m argumentative and “trying” to get into “ his room”. Trying to defend myself at that point by saying ma’am I’m really not trying to be I just want to get to my children. She says “Just because you are not yelling and cursing doesn’t mean you are not aggressive.” You know what ma’am you are absolutely right. I then turn and walk out of the office and start banging on the door to hopefully wake up my daughter to open door. My oldest is 4 years old by the way! Room owners then shows up after 18 mins of me banging on our room door my knuckles are busted at this point. We both go to the office ( I probably should have stayed) I try to hand her the key and I said and quote “ excuse me, may I have a new key”…” He can but I won’t be talking to you” I lost it!!! At that point and point only did I begin to yell. My kids have been in this room alone for now a little over a hour. Needless to say this is my last stay and I am not longer “welcomed” to stay. But had I had my phone none of this would have happened I would have simply called the police to get the fire department and allowed them to breakdown the door because 2 small children are in...
Read moreWe , My wife and I along with our two grandkids will not ever stay at this motel again . For one. The cost of the room we were told was the best with oversized bed as they called it Quadruple 2 bed which was the same room we first had reserved and cost almost $100 more with total being $259 for two nights Those beds were full size no were near what we were tol Had to ask for coffee and the throw away holder for the coffee pack it. Now the kicker. After a showered I stepped out and was ready to quickly blow dry my hair. When I pulled the small hand held her dryer off the wall it completely came apart in my hand with the electrical components/wiring completely showing and plug in. So i immediately call the office and ask for a new dryer as I had to ask for coffee and part plus towels prior. He without any thoughts in anger told me to get out of room. Ok what room are u moving us to. He came back saying I'm not . .. you leave now , you ask for to much. I ask for what we needed that you were suppose to furnish. I'm not leaving unless u refund our money which that was a hug NO. HE HAD TO BE THE RUDES Ive ever seen at any motel. We still had one more night paid for out of two we paid for. I have been trying to get in contact with Wyndham corporate off over these Super8 motels with this complaint but every time I fill out there complaint form it goes blank when you submit it. Never get sent or the phone calls I've made would get answered but as soon as there recorder finishes for you to choose from: the call drops. We are so unhappy with this and want satisfaction from this. Im not saying all the super 8 are managed like this one in Owtter creek in little Rock. There service suck! Those pictures below scared me really bad. What if one of our grandkids who ages are 3 and 4 years old had grabbed that broken down hair dryer which as said before..still plugged in with a GFI attached as the person behind the motel counter said.
