I hate to leave a review like this, it's going to be a long one. We were seated, it took the attention of 3 managers to get waited on, we didn't flag anyone, but I noticed they noticed. I overheard the waitress tell them she wasn't notified about us from the hostess. The manager insisted we have a free appetizer, I had not complained a bit, so we must have been waiting for some time. I ordered a Porterhouse rare, I wanted an expensive steak. Ordered a smothered fillet for the wife, pizza and Mac for the kids, no soft drinks, only water. We got the free appetizer, I was thrilled. Got our appetizer in about 20 minutes, our salad and soup followed. It was at this time I realized they hadn't given us anything to eat with. So I asked the waitress, much to her panic for some silverware. About 40 minutes later another appetizer shows up, a different waitress brought it. I told her we already got it, thanked her all the same. Had her take it back, wasn't gonna take advantage of anyone. About 20-30 minutes later my steak finally shows up. Its burnt, like crusty burnt, you know the type, like you let your crazy uncle with a drinking problem man the grill for 5 minutes and you come back to a fire about 7 feet high and the meat has turned into something unrecognizable. Well that's what the edges of my steak resembled. I sliced my Porterhouse open to inspect it, I only eat rare. And much to my chagrin its closer to medium rare than it is to rare. And it was obviously over too much fire/heat, the edges were like asphalt. I didn't know it but the waitress must've got the manager, I really don't know, but both of them were there offering me a new steak, I told the waitress no the first time, I mean it took an hour, I really wanted a steak. I finally relented and let them take it back. They promised it in 5 minutes, and it showed up in 5, for that I commend them. The issue with the second one was it was RAW and over seasoned. Had a good sear on each side but it was like an ice cube! The meat hadn't taken on any change outside of the 1/16" sear on each side. I took a couple bites to appease them, they were watching from a distance. Said it was fine. It was, cause I'm gonna finish cooking it at home. This was the absolute worst steak experience I've had in a long time. I paid, tipped my waitress and got the heck out of there... I don't plan on ever going back. I didn't complain much, I was just looking for a meal, didn't get much of one, maybe they were having a bad night. You may fair better than me, but I'm no longer planning on dining there. Here's some pictures of the second Porterhouse from right before I put it under the broiler

I visited Saltgrass on 12/04/2021. The service was above average, the atmosphere was pleasant, and the food did not have that WOW! factor that make you want to come back again. I had the Range rattlers for an appetizer, which were not as favorable as I imagined. The jalapeno pepper tasted green, the shrimp was cooked to perfection golden perfection, and the jack cheese did not add that extra layer of flavor. This dish is served with fried onions that were golden and delicious tasted homemade to me. With that being said the portion size was fulfilling. I did not think the ranch dressing complimented this dish. The side dishes, loaded mash potatoes, baked sweet potato, asparagus, and broccoli. The side were the standard serving size all were average in taste except for the asparagus it was seasoned very well and tender. The star of this meal was a 22oz porterhouse steak. I ordered it medium well. I think it was a difference of opinion what medium well is between me and the chef. However, this steak was very pleasing to my palate and extremely tender. The dessert was a carrot cake, warning one slice is large enough for two or three diners to enjoy. Too much sugar for one man. Overall, my main issue was the value of this meal exceeded the quality of the whole meal. It wasn't bad and I didn't have to send anything back to the kitchen. I just didn't get that WOW factor from this meal. I'm not saying I will not dine at Saltgrass again; it just will not be in the near future.

I’m a 71 yr old veteran, who’s been in the restaurant hospitality field for over 40 years . Have eaten at Saltgrass Restaurants several times in several different states. Came into this restaurant last night, Monday, May 17th at about8 pm. Had one of the worst meals and service I’ve had in a long time and I eat out quite often. The service was terrible, the server, Cameron should be retrained. Order a glass of wine and she had to come back to my table and take menu off table and ask me which wine I ordered because she wasn’t sure how it was listed on the computer. Then inform me after she brought drink to me and it was almost last call. Ask her that when it was last call to order me another glass, well it was placed on my table within 3 minutes. Ordered the Chicken fried steak, because I hadn’t had one in a while. As sides I got the broccoli n rice. The broccoli was big chucks of broccoli and it didn’t look well on the plate and it’s presentation on the plate look terrible. Had to ask runner that brought my food out that I was also suppose to get side of rice n extra gravy. He did bring them out , then the server brought out some more rice and I told her I already had mine. She took a couple of steps toward the kitchen , then turn around and came back and ask me if I wanted it. The chicken fried steak was nice and tender but the breaded came off every-time I cut into it. I know it does come off but not every time you cut into it. It should stay on steak so you get both the crunch of the breading and the taste of the meat when you take a bit. Then to top off as I was paying my tab, someone from the kitchen came out and check to see if they had gotten all the dishes from my table. The waitress came by and even though I had sign the check still had it in front of me and almost under my arms. She came by and reached in and took it and said thanks and have a good night. She should of waited till I put it out on the table in clear sight. Then when I was finishing my glass of , 4 of the servers sat at a table not 5 feet away from me while they were folding silverware and having a conversation that I could understand every word. This was not a pleasant meal or time for me at all. I do hope you show Cameron and rest of the staff this review so they know how bad my experience was. Sincerely...

We came to North Little Rock location tonight at exactly 7:13pm. We ordered our meal and waited. We received our appetizer. We watched two tables that came after us eat and leave. The waitress came and said where’s your food something’s wrong. Our glasses were empty our food hadn’t arrived after an 1hr and 20 min wait. The table behind us said dude you were here before us your fixing to eat for free. I told them the waitress showed us the salt was clumped up in the shakers so you can’t use them and my fork has wilted green stuff on it I assume salad now we’ve been waiting on our food over an hr. They said I know you were eating salad when we got sat. The waitress got a manager telling us this isn’t right. The manager said I’ll comp your appetizer the table behind us was saying that’s not right. The manager argued with us saying we were only waiting 30 min. The table behind us said they were here before us. We had two people they had four and were finished eating. They offered us their leftovers as a joke. They requested a manager to complain for how we were treated. When the other manager came he offered to cook our food and comp that something the other manager didn’t do. The strangers in the other table told them how the other manager spoke to us. Of course we didn’t want to eat here now who knows what they would do to our food if we took it haha I told them we’d go home and skettios haha I would never tell anyone to eat at this location. Go to the one by bass pro good good service and friendly managers. I need I discount for that time of my life I’ll never get back lol although I appreciate the customers at the other table caring enough to offer me their leftovers. Apparently that’s the only way I was gonna get fed at this location. Although I hate it for Tina our waitress cause if things would of been different she would of had a very generous tip. But even she seemed to forget to come check our empty glasses. The restaurant was not busy there was no reason for such poor service. Nor should you ever treat customers like the first manager spoke to us. I even ask where the ball was dropped in this situation. Manager couldn’t tell me. All I know is three tables who came after me were fed tonight. Glad I ordered an appetizer cause that ended up...
