The Mighty Crab — Restaurant in Little Rock

The service was great and the food was outstanding! Being from New Orleans I know a thing or two or three about boiled seafood so whenever I eat seafood outside of New Orleans I don’t set my expectations too high. After all there’s no better food than New Orleans food but thus place for surpassed my expectations! The crabs and the garlic butter sauce were full of flavor and cooked to perfection. My only complaint was that the spice wasn’t as spicy but that’s no big deal it’s just the cajun in me that craves fire in my food. I loved this place so much I went twice during my vacation and anytime I’m back to visit my mom in Little Rock I will be sure to stop here for some awesome seafood.

Update: Just visited today on 8/29/21. The waitress was very inattentive and really seemed uninterested. Messed up mine and my daughter’s order which we both ordered 2lbs snow crab legs and 1/2lb headon shrimp. They forgot our shrimp but gave us 1/2lb extra snow crabs. We didn’t know they gave us 1/2 snow crabs instead of shirmp so after 10 minutes of us already eating and waiting for our shrimp to arrive the waitress and who I assume is a manger come to our table with tongs and tell is they have to take a cluster of crabs out of our bag so they could give us the shrimp 😕 I’ve never heard of anything like this in my life so I asked her to repeat it to make sure I understood correctly and she said the same thing. All four of us at the table were in awe. So I asked what are they going to do with it and she said throw them away. I said so instead of letting us keep them because it was clearly y’all’s mistake yall rather take them and throw them away to correct it?!?! How much sense does that make? She just plainly said yes. I feel like she was lying 🤥 Clearly they were going to take them and reheat them and add more sauce and serve them to someone else. I don’t feel safe eating at this place anymore. Sorry I doubted all the bad reviews. Even if they were to really throw them away, there’s so many starving people in this world better yet all the homeless in Little Rock. Why throw food away just because you made a mistake? I opted to keep the crab legs because I didn’t want them to be given to someone else after I had been digging in the bag and most certainly didn’t want them to be thrown away and they also charged me for these crab legs didn’t even apologize or take some money off the bill. For this I dropped my rating down to one star and I will not be returning. Clearly management does not care about...

I’ve been heard a few times since it changed from the Daquiri spot which I miss. But it was good to still have a good seafood place near. The first two times was a good experience. The staff were friendly and the food was good. Then I ordered online. While it was well packed, except the sauces which later spilled, I learned it’s best to call, because what you get in the restaurant is not what you get online even if they have it written. I ordered 1/2lbs of two items which was under a combo section stating it came with corn and potatoes. I really like the potatoes because they soak up all the flavors, thus I was really looking forward to getting everything I ordered. When I got home and saw there was no corn or potatoes I called. The person who answered stated they only give corn and potatoes with 1lb orders in the same sauce. So because they did not include it in their fine print I was essentially out of luck. And the only way to get what was written that I should have gotten based on the website menu would be to order them separately. She offered no apologies, no rain check on the next time I come in. Just an “oh well” attitude.

Hence mediocre online customer service and a mediocre ability to address complains and incorrect orders. But the food is still good for Little Rock and you likely won’t find many places outside the chain...

The location decor is on point. However, the team/staff needs a little more training and needs to be working more in unison. We walked in and the guy at the table didn't greet us, when I stood there after 3 min I asked where I could put myself down for a table he pointed at the hostess stand but there was no hostess. So I waited another 10 min and I asked again the girl wrote just the number of party down but didnt ask for a name. I was already getting aggravated. When it was time to get seated the same guy that was at the round table tried walking us over to a table and they weren't ready and after a few seconds we were able to get seated. We stayed at the table for another 20 min and a server walking by asked if we were getting help and then asked us what drinks we wanted. After another 10 min another server walks by and asked us the same question. Turns out he was our server but never introduced himself. So they really seemed lost and not in sync or no communication amongst each other. The food is good, is very sanitary and the place has opportunity for growth, but they definitely need more training on serving. They currently don't have a liquor license or are waiting for it, so you can't order any liquor or beer to go...
