Learn moreI went here with my sister after being a patron for years before. Admittedly, I haven't been since COVID, but I've always remembered it to be a good place. I ordered two enchilada with rice and beans combo. My enchilada tortillas were hard, so hard I had to knife my fork through to eat a bite. I tried my second one, and it was the same. After showing it to a server, he took it back. The second order came out the same way! The tortillas were so hard, I'd spit out parts of it and placed it on the side of the plate. My sister asked the server if they put them in the oven, she responded for just a bit. Since they weren't getting any better, I changed my order to a taco salad. Before I could finish the order, the server dashed off. I went to see if she was changing the order so I can explain that wanted chicken and she told me that she'd thrown away my food, and that it was the second plate I'd sent back so they weren't allowing me to reorder. She then mumbled something about the manager coming to speak to me. I was confused. My sister was still eating and I had queso dip while i waited. Minutes later, no one came. We sat ignored, they even actively ignored my sister just to ignore me. My sister finally flagged down the manager who came over and tried to spread the charm onto my sister who was asking for to-go boxes/items. My sister then referred the manager (who had her back) to me about the issue with my food. The manager looked at me and basically blamed me for sending the food back because she said, "You sent it back twice" as if I specifically came there to do that. I discussed with her that I don't know what restaurant business is in business to not rectify their bad quality food but to blame the customer experience as if to say "just eat it" and pay anyways. To think, as a manager, you should actively ignore a customer who attempted to patronize your establishment because your kitchen served a poor quality dish not once but twice is asinine, especially after I tried offer up a change of order (an idea usually from your side) because it's understandable sometimes people have bad days. She listened, spread, pointed out it wasn't on the bill and continued to get my sister's items, but the item not being on the bill wasn't the issue. Read moreThe food is great but the service is TRASH!! The male servers there do not care about their job. We walked in asking for a booth (every one of them was dirty) they told us they didn't have any clean. We said that we would wait. NO ONE CLEANED A TABLE FOR US. It had been over 10 min. The two make servers that was working just continued to work rather than clean us off a table. When i asked them if they were going to clean the table one of the men says “thats not his job” but its his section. The lady that cleaned the tables hadn't made it in yet. So rather than cleaning their own tables, they wait for this lady to come in and clean all of their mess up, which is definitely not fair to that lady that’s coming in. We ended up leaving. We used to only go to this location. Not anymore. We will never be back to that location. We only go to the bowman location now. They are very clean, very professional, the food is great, it comes out fast, the servers are great! Definitely wont step foot back in the university location. Those guys need...
Read moreService was so bad from the very beginning that my mother and I got up and left. Our waiter, young man, was in the middle of taking our drink and appetizer order when he rudely walked away as my mother was talking to him. The reason he walked away was to give another table their menus and silverware. He didn't say a word like "I will be right back, excuse me.....". nothing, just walked away while she was actively giving him her order!! When we walked out we passed an older gentleman employee who was standing at the door. We briefly explained why we were walking out and he didn't seem to care AT ALL! I will say this, I called, as we were driving to Riviera Maya where we always get treated queens, and spoke to a female manager and she was hoping we were still there so she could rectify the issue. She wanted to do the right thing by us but we didn't give her that opportunity. I truly feel she was concerned and would have made our experience right.
