Shark’s Fish & Chicken on 12th and University — Restaurant in Little Rock

Because my mother wanted fish today from Sharks, we stopped by the one on 5900 W 12th st. in Little Rock Arkansas around 5pm. I was pleasantly surprised because there were two Ladies that were working. One was handling the Drive through and the other one took orders for the Front area. When I tell you that they were the sweetest two Ladies that I've seen in a very long time in the restaurant business, I mean just that! Professional, Friendly, and Quick. So much so that I left a tip and that was a first for me at a sharks. The young lady took our orders in a timely manner and we received our food in a timely manner. Restaurant was pretty clean and so was the ladies Restroom. Good customer service is hard to come by but these two ladies got it down!!! God bless you and Thanks!!! 🤗😊🤗 While there my mother and I encountered another experience with a young gentle that had some serious issues going on that caused him to fall on hard times and as a result of that, it landed him in prison for 20 years. There were four other customers in there besides us. One gentleman and three ladies. The young man began to pour out his soul directly to me. As I stood there looking and listening to him, my mind was saying not today but my heart took me in a different direction! People scam all day long and they have become notorious in beating folks out of their money but this guy was not asking me for anything, he wasn't yelling, he wasn't disrespectful and nor did he appear to be drunk or high because his plea was that of a broken man. One that had nothing or no one that would even be willing to give him a second chance because of his past history. It appeared as though he had exhausted every single option or opportunity that was needed to get him back on the right path. If by chance you reading this please whisper a prayer for this gentlemen that God will continue to keep his mind. People battle this thing called life daily and trust and believe the struggle is real!!! I love the Lord and because He hung, bleed and died for me, Surely I can help those that are...

This location use to be a good restaurant. The food is over priced for what you are getting. I went on a date a few months ago before the Christmas holiday with my ex-girlfriend the portion size was horrible like usual !!!! I have ordered the large fried oysters plate. When I have gotten it. I have literally seen oysters the size of a quarter some smaller. I couldn't believe my eyes that the oysters all could fit in the palm of my hands still had a little room left over. I quickly called my waitress to the table and asked her that I have ordered a large oyster plate. She told me "That was the large plate. I gotten angry and told her that I have paid over $13.00 for this crap. She said yes. I will never go back to this location ever again!!! Shark's really need to change there prices of there food or give more food for the money you paid for. There prices are horrible, there wings are to small with no meat on them... They have built a new shark's three blocks from my house on Markham. I hope there totally different from the one on 12th street and Fair Park street. Both locations sucks with the prices and the food portion. I will never go back to this place again, I will give, Shark's one more chance with there new store on Markham st. if there not good I won't be going back to Shark's ever, any store.... This is my last time so please look for my comment on your Markham st. location.......

Stopped in here for lunch. The food was delicious. The portions were large. I had the $7 lunch special, I had gizzards and couldn't have been happier. The people were friendly, their service was nice, and the cleanliness of the restaurant not so good, but it wasn't ugly. The tables were clean, but the floor was sticky when you walked on it. The sticky the feet and the sound it made left me with a gross feeling of what I must have been walking in / on

But I have to say the food was delicious and because of that I will return I hope to find the lobby of the restaurant a bit cleaner than the first visit. Maybe I was just there on a bad day, but it was only the cleanliness of the lobby that put me off. everything else was great.

So for a quick lunch at a fair price I recommend...
