WOW! What a new fun and exciting place. I have never had nor heard of Andy's Frozen Custard so I had to check it out. First off I tried to look and confirm to see if Andy's Frozen Custard is not made with any dairy products. (yes, I do have friends that this is a real sensitive issue for. ) While I found no evidence from Andy's Frozen Custard that lead me in either direction, I did find another review that claimed Andy’s is a dairy free restraint, (being this source is not a primary source of information I will not reference.) This location of Andy's Frozen Custard is easy to spot from the road, their building is well lit with traditional white lights and neon lights. This place has a kind of a neo-classic 50’s feel. While it does not have the drive up, park your car, and wait for the server to bring you your order on roller skates. It does have a convent fast food drive style window for those looking for their custard on the go. If you’re not in a hurry you can park around back in their small parking lot, and walk to up to their front wind and place your order. If you are going to visit this Andy's Frozen Custard, or at least eat there now (today) and enjoy a Colorado evening on one of their benches. I say now because come late fall and into mid spring I do not see their patio/ dine- in seating will be too popular in Colorado. I can see how Andy’s set would work in warmer location just not ideal for Colorado or the western states. I got to enjoy one of their Ozark Turtle Sunday, my date got a Snow Monster Concrete and the two young ladies a comping us enjoyed a small Boot Daddy and a triple chocolate concrete. My Ozark Turtle Sunday, was nice I would of liked to see a bit more hot fudge maybe even some carmel would have been nice addition. Now the Snow Monster Concrete, yes I am one of those guys that will (hijack a bite or two from your plate) I liked the blend of strawberries and chocolate chips. We I had a fun time. This is a great place to take a date or visit with friends. As said earlier we ordered smalls and their smalls are big enough to share with a friends. We decided for our next visit we will cut our order down my half. We were wonder if their mediums came with a dental plan and some kind of gym membership, I say in jest being as they looked pretty big. I highly recommend Grabbing a friend or two and trying Andy's Frozen Custard before the fall sets in this a place guaranteed that you will bring...
Read moreI'm not exactly updating my ratings of Andy's itself....I LOVE Andy's. Always have and probably always will. What I am doing is giving an update on my most unfortunate experience at Andy's the last time I went. If you read my previous review, you'll know that we drove quite a ways from our house to get Andy's (that's how serious the cravings are) and found, upon returning to our house, that I was given the wrong order. I ended up dumping the order down the sink, which was sadder than sad.
I received a very nice email from Josh, the franchisee, with apologies and the offer to make it right. Since, like I said, this location is nowhere close to where we live, I didn't think we'd probably make the Andy's run anytime in the near future. So, I have had "Call Josh" on my to do list for several weeks now.
Last night, we found ourselves in Littleton for a dinner and I realized, during the meal, that, since we were close, we should run by Andy's to see if Josh were around. I didn't think he would be on a Friday night but as I was asking the gal at the register if he was there, I was approached by Maddie, the manager. She knew about my Yelp review and was a darling about it. She made our orders herself, which were just like the Andy's I'm always craving. We had a wonderful conversation about the different locations of Andy's we had eaten at (and where she trained at), which were, ironically, practically the same places. She more than made up for our last experience and I'm back to being a Andy's groupie.
Interestingly, my husband had never had Andy's before....I don't even know how that's possible with the obsession that my kids and I have for this place.....but thank you to Maddie because now Andy's has an...
Read moreExtremely rude staff. There was no one I can ask if they took Apple Pay, until I got to the window. She rudely answered no. Before I could pull a card out she said my order was canceled. I let her know I had a physical card with me. The physical card was not working, it’s not one I usually used. I let her know I wouldn’t be able to pay for it. Before I has asked her about the Apple Pay she had already given me one of the custards. When I realized they didn’t I held the custard at the window, until we can figure out a payment. When I informed her we would not be able to pay, she snatched the custard out of my hand, leaving a scratch on the top part of my hand. And rudely gave me back my card. I was shocked at the way she acted, I didn’t ask for a manager and drove away. I drove 15 minutes away to the river point location in sheridan. It’s usually the location I go to even though it’s about 10 more minutes away from my home. If you want a better experience and great customer service make the drive out to the location at river point. It’s about 15 from this location. I was so shocked at how the staff had acted but as soon as I arrived at the river point location, I was greeted with such great customer service and genuine...
