placed an order for delivery at 5:40 PM on Friday. When we hadn't accepted a delivery a half hour after our expected delivery time (1.5 hours later), we tried calling to follow up. No answer was received. I see below that the power went down around 6:30 for a couple hours. Obviously, we had no way of knowing this and waited over 2.5 hours, after which we gave up and cooked dinner ourselves. We rarely treat ourselves to pizza and have really appreciated Walter's quality when we do. I understand that unexpected power outages happen. However, the fact that there was absolutely no follow up... even days later... is extremely disappointing.
My order was received WELL before the power outage occurred and my contact information was available on the order. Also, my order would have been received later that evening when the power returned. I also sent a Facebook message hoping that someone would have internet service. I saw that my message was read after 11pm that evening, but no response. Ever. I would certainly expect a phone call or email to rectify the situation at the latest on the following day. When I've tried to call and leave a message for a manager, the option I press disconnects the line! Because of my work and family schedule I haven't been able to reach anyone for days. I tried submitting an email via the Walter's website and I get an error message when I try to send. I am now out of ways to contact the store and must now resort to posting publicly.
I also see below that orders will be credited back. I want to ensure that my order is indeed credited. But I feel that you may lose us as a customer as the money is not the only thing I lost that evening. Please confirm as soon as possible that my order has been credited or I'll need to contact my credit card company.
Follow up - after my review was posted, I was contacted via email by the manager and offered store credit and a heartfelt apology. We have since placed a pick up order and still very much appreciate the quality of the pizza at Walter's. We will...
Read moreVisited Walter's303 in Bow Mar for pizza and beer and had a great time. We had a group of 5 people and were able to get a table when we arrived that fit our group. We started off with some beers from their on tap selection. They have 12 different beers on tap from local breweries. You are able to go their website and see what beers are available and how much of the keg is left of each. I had the Dry Dock Amber Ale and it was a classic amber ale. I also got to try the Old Fashion and it was very good, blended just right and served with a nice large ice cube.
For an appetizer we ordered the garlic cheese bread. This came out nice and hot and tasted great. It was the perfect appetizer for our group of 5, with lots of yummy cheese.
Their pizza is pretty amazing. They are known for their hand tossed pizza crust and you can see why once you order it. The crust is supper thin and when cooked in a hot oven is able to hold up to the mound of topping on top. I was really impressed with their crust. We had the Mile High Meat which was stacked with lots of delicious pizza meats and just the right amount of veggies to support it. We also order The Mrs. which has Italian Sausage but then focuses on basil, Kalamata olives and red onions which is a combination I could eat every time. There are a lot of other options for pizzas on the menu, so you could definitely make more than one trip here and still get something new.
Service was also great, with a special shout out going to the bar tender. He was friendly and came over to get us drinks right when we arrived even though we were not his table. He also checked back with us later. Great guy.
We enjoyed out dinner and would return to Walter's303...
Read moreFound this jewel the other day we were waited on by Chris! They have won the best wings award so we tried them, wow, I'm not a big wing person but these were meaty, juicy, and full of flavor! Their Italian buffalo is crazy good and bourbon bbq is incredibly addicting!!!!The cheese bread was just as soft, cheesy and flavorful as it looks in the pictures and the marinara had a yummy zing that was surprisingly extra tasty and flavorful; not your normal marinara!! The pizza for us was a hand tossed crust we werent fond of the meat pizza but the chicken bacon with the garlic ranch sauce was mouth wateringly fantastic, in fact we went back the next day for another! I cant wait to try the deep dish it looks amazing with the sauce on top but does ask for an extra 30 minutes for baking time, good to know! Sandwiches and calzones all look fantastic too; so much to try each time we come and a bunch of draft beers that are changed out so often never the same each time you come! Kind of a small hole in the wall pizza place thats packed with so much flavor and they are crazy busy! Employees were all friendly the lady bartender was sweet had a firm hand on the crew making sure everyone was doing things to standard i apprecited that and Chris let us try all the sauces on the side without a eye roll or deep breath, they really love what they do!!!! EVERYONE MUST TRY THIS PIZZA PLACE, YOU...
