Stone Creek Cafe — Restaurant in Englewood

Went out to breakfast with my old man after having an excellent previous experience (with a different server). We were immediately seated, my father ordered coffee, I asked for a minute to decide on a drink, and had to ask multiple times right then and there before our waitress this time got the idea.

She then forgot my dad ordered coffee at all (not even within 5 minutes and she's already forgetting drink orders, not good.), she came back and he had to order it again to her response "Oh, you wanted coffee?"

He got his coffee, I asked for water just before we tried to order our food, she had trouble taking our order. Didn't help that the waitress was barely speaking above a whisper when it was crowded and noisy, I'm not even sure she was speaking, when I could understand her it sounded like she was mumbling. Then she walks past a booth behind us, turns around and asks "coffee?" actually loud enough to be heard, but from her position I figured she was addressing the other booth, not much longer after that she comes out with a mug for coffee for me, which I did not order, and when I tried to tell her no coffee (cause I ordered, you guessed it,water) She gets fridgid like she's losing her temper, muttered/mumbled something, I ask "I'm sorry?" before she says I have a bad attitude. After she walked away my dad and I decided to leave, we were polite enough to let them know to cancel the order instead of letting them cook up food just to waste it on a table that left, only response from the server was "that's fine"

It must be the owner, or a server that is close to them to not be fired for behavior like this, as there are multiple other reviews about a rude server, as far back as three months from my brief skimming of the reviews.

My suggestion, go to The Breakfast Queen instead, they might have slightly higher prices, but you won't find anyone like her working there, and their food is much better to boot, or try Louis' Cafe,but if you decide to go to Stone Creek Cafe and you get an skinny older gal with short cut bruette hair, do yourself a favor and make yourself an excuse to leave, that is, if you want to be...

If I could give this place a Negative 2 stars I would. This place is absolutely disgusting from the service to the servers. I came in with my daughter for breakfast (she's 3) no booster seat offered, asked for one & got a blank stare instead. No cream or sugar for the coffee, kids cups came with lids but no straws. 3 servers walking around, not one of them checking to see if we needed anything, instead the server is sitting across from me stuffing her face while rolling silverware. Absolutely disgusting. Another server is delivering food while chewing food at the same time! If my daughter wasn't here with me, hungry I'd get up and leave without question. As we are waiting for our food another server comes up and asked if we are ready to order??? Umm is our order in? When our food arrived the server sets our food on the table without asking if there's anything else to bring never to return again until she brings our check. I'd have loved to have had the opportunity to speak with a manager about our experience but wait, there was none to be found! What an embarrassment of an establishment. Will never return, nor recommend anyone going to this joke of a Cafe. Drive 2 miles down the road to Mike's Cafe. They'll show you how...

Just bought a house in the neighborhood was looking for our new breakfast spot. Decided to try this Cafe for our anniversary. Horrible experience the waitress we had that day must of been having a bad day because she was being so rude and aggressive I literally felt like she wanted to fight me lol we started with coffee and decided to leave because we felt so uncomfortable, my kids even asked why she was mad at us lol We never ordered food just paid for our drinks and left. I felt like I was in the twilight zone lol never had an experience like this at a restaurant. When we paid she dropped our card on the floor & instead of picking it up she proceeded to drag it across the floor with her DIRTY shoe. We ended up driving down the street to MIKES CAFE and it was amazing, been going every weekend since. Can't say if this particular waitress still works there because we never went back, it's been 1 year now. Can't say anything about food because we never got the chance to try it....PS ONLY WRITING A REVIEW 1 YEAR LATER BECAUSE WE THOUGHT ABOUT TRYING IT AGAIN BUT READ THE CURRENT REVIEWS AND SEE THE STAFF STILL NEED ATTITUDE ADJUSTMENTS so it's a NEVER...
