Arise Coffee — Restaurant in Live Oak

I have to say I'm very impressed with the staff of this business, my boyfriend and I ordered from here through DoorDash and he got an Acai Bowl. I'll be honest, at first it wasn't great. He'd never had one so he didn't know if they were supposed to taste that way or not but needless to say it wasn't something he'd order again; however, he worked in the food business previously as well as I currently work in the food business so we both understand that maybe it was an off-day or something went wrong. To confirm whether or not it was made properly, he called the shop and asked if it was supposed to be watery (the way it was served) and while they do serve it that way because it is the most preferred way for their customers, you can ask them to thicken it up and they will. The owner (presumably) or whoever he spoke with on the phone offered to remake the Acai Bowl free of charge so while he was at work I came and picked it up for him today. My boyfriend was very pleased with what they served this time around, they also added bananas which wasn't in it the first time! All in all, the flavor of the Acai in general was actually much better, it was a better consistency per my boyfriend's preference but the icing on the cake for this place is the people who run it. They're helpful people who took the time to receive feedback and try to change a mind, you don't really see too often and it's a great to live in the area when you have a location near you. I've never tried much coffee from here, I've gotten a hazelnut frappe which I loved but I also got a pumpkin pie/pumpkin spice frappe which was even better. We will be back to this location soon to try out some coffees and once I've gotten a taste I will edit this review and be sure to let anyone reading know how that is too but I'm fairly certain it'll be amazing! Again, give it a chance. I may have not ordered a lot from here but the management itself should give you a reason to stop by for a nice, local business...

I’m so glad we have this wonderful local coffee roaster! I’m kind of picky about coffee and this is the only local place where I can get consistently good drinks no matter what I order. A lot of places use super automatic machines and bulk coffee beans and you can taste the difference in quality when you come here. The baristas are always nice and helpful, even suggest drinks if I’m not sure what to order. We even buy the beans to us at home, and appreciate that they always have organic options available at a decent price. The smoothies are just as great at the coffee, they blend fresh fruit right when you order them and you have the option of what liquids to use and any sweeteners, no mixes or fake stuff! I cannot say enough about this wonderful coffee shop. The only drawback is they do not carry nonfat milk so I have to use dairy alternatives due to health issues but I’m sure most won’t mind, just a small inconvenience if you usually...

I'm the surprise me lady. As a single mom I don't get much to myself except for this. Why surprise me? Not only do I get a joy but these great ladies get to show their creative side. Arise isn't another black and white chain of cookie cutter drinks. It's amazing blends of flavors, not watered down, and exactly what I need. Niki and Ashley are just as amazing. I look forward to their smiles everyday. They seem to enjoy getting creative and truly make my day. They never disappoint. There is one that works there that I don't recommend serving you. She is rude, makes snide comments and rolls her eyes often with smirks. I try not to go when she's working. But other than that this place makes me feel like home and a part of the experience of this above average, perfect coffee. 5 stars...
