Our town had just been through a hurricane. We haven't had electricity in several days. In fact most of our town had been without power. So when restaurants opened we wanted something hot to eat. It was almost closing time when we got there after dealing with debris clean up all day. The lady at the register was great fun!! It was nice to laugh and joke after our ordeal. As I started to place my order she told me in advance that she had more crispy chicken than original and there was a 20 minute wait for that. As I said , it was late, and I usually order original so I adjusted my order. 1 wanted a 4 piece dark combo.( I don't like chicken breast) and my husband got the sandwich combo. I received my order and walked out. Here is where the issue began. In my car I opened my box to get a drumstick when I saw this TINY wing and breast!! I went back inside and the lady who took the order was cleaning the lobby for closing time . I told her what happened. She asked me to wait at the register for the manager. I stood there several minutes and the lady in the lobby noticed I was still waiting. She called to the back for her manager. THAT lady came up several more minutes later. I explained that I ordered a 4 PC dark. She snapped at me saying that she 'told the person who prepared my box to fill it with whatever was available, and that I, the customer, had already been told that what I ordered may not be available'. I told her i had NOT been told that. If I had been, I would have reduced my order to a 2 PC. And that I had no interest in paying for something I would not eat! She was visibly angry to the point she actually balled up her fist as she walked away. She yanked out a small box, slammed open the the door where she took out a small leg and thigh, and practically threw the chicken into the box. She proceeded to storm back to the counter and shoved the box at me. I didn't even get 'thank' out of my mouth before she was halfway to the back. During this, the lady who took my order and I looked at each other in complete disbelief. I confirmed with her that I did order just dark meat, and I asked her if at any point she told me there would be a change to my order. She said 'no, and that no one had come to tell her that there would be changes to my order which she would have had to inform me of. As I customer I have the right to choose a substitution or change my order' . I thanked her and I left. I DO NOT want what some people consider 'FREE FOOD'. It really isn't FREE. There are several things that happen as a result. 1)The store loses money when that happens. 2) In some cases employees get fussed at for not taking an order correctly 3) This causes an increase in price. 4) waste of food, In this case the wing was so tiny there wasn't even a bite of meat on it. And, like I said, I don't like...
Read moreThe woman at the drive through window who tried my tap to pay one time and closed the window and said out loud and angrily "Stop running up my drive through time damn!" And opened it up and "tried" 2 more times I knew it wasn't my end so it wasn't my fault but she was very rude and I hadn't even been at the window for a whole minute when that happened. I go to look at her and she's looking at me like she wanted to fight me and all I was trying to do is get some lunch I lift furniture at my job all the time and work in a warehouse that is either very hot or very cold throughout the day. I work at the non profit thrift store for the Sheriffs Ranches so you know I'm hungry I need food to be able to have energy for that type of work especially for my size. Instead of saying your tap to pay ain't working after the first try, she should have just said hey just come inside and try in here. It's just disappointing how KFC or just this one person cares more about the drive through time than their customers. Putting stress on these workers about fast customer service is making them miserable and upset. I wasn't satisfied with my food after how I had been treated and I definitely won't be going back. The gentleman on the inside that day was nice and my tap to pay worked the first time. This was January 15th around 1:28pm. It doesn't matter how bad your day has been, be nice to your customers unless they give you a real reason to be mad cause honestly no one cares about KFCs drive through time people just want their food and for their food...
Read moreWe usually use the KFC app when ordering; however, the last few times have left us feeling like it’s not worth the savings. Several times our order wasn’t ready when it said it would be and we had to wait sometimes 10 extra minutes. The last time we ordered the 8-piece tender meal and a couple of pieces were really small, and one piece was nothing but the crunchy coating. We took it back and asked for fresh tenders and the old lady said “What do you expect for $18” and refused to replace them. We stopped there today and ordered the 14-piece thighs & legs meal, without using the app, to see what would happen. We were supposed to get 7 thighs & 7 legs, and instead we received 6 thighs, 6 legs, and 1 wing (didn’t get what we paid for). I will add that the chicken pieces were of a better quality than the tenders we previously ordered, proving you get the old scraps when you order through the app at a discount. The service is slow, the chicken quality is poor when you get a deal in the app, and more times than not your...
