Country Waffles - Livermore — Restaurant in Livermore

Went today for the first time, but never again. I’ve seen this place many times as I traveled to and from work off 580, and I finally had a time I could give the place a try and never again. My server was eh, he just did his job. I was so unimpressed by his level of enthusiasm.

Now to the food, I asked for a water with lemon, and the water tasted nasty and the lemon was old and almost dry. The coffee was weak, I ordered a chicken and waffle with a side of country potatoes. I took the first bite of the potatoes and that was it, they were not even cooked completely. The waffle was luke warm and didn’t even melt the spread they put on it. The chicken was horrible!! If was hard and dry, I literally took a bite of a wing and a couple small pieces of the breast and that’s all I could tolerate. Just not a good dining experience.

At the end of this experience, I get a bill for over $31, wow!! The chicken and waffles was $19.99 alone. Then you add in a coffee, an order of potatoes, and tax and it’s $11 more? Fine, but NEVER again!! I was able to see why there was not a lot of traffic in the business considering its location. Trust me, I will NEVER go to that nightmare of a business again.i am usually very generous in my tipping, but nothing about this experience...

I was before gave 5 stars, but now I change the mind in my Last visit was my son birthday I decided to bring my son here to try have happy time but surprised , the lady (server) give to us, very bad costumer server, after almost 25 min I asked her where is my food and she answer "I don't know " I say what???? And she said " is not my fault" I think my self WTH!!!!! WTH!!!! Means is my fault??? Omg omg , just I saw my food seating on the server bar, but she don't care, plus she care other costumers they come after me🤨🤨 also I ask the manager where is my food? And same answer plus is not my table??? Ohhhh gosh terrible manager, how???? he respond in this attitude!!! After long minutes later 🤨🤨 we got our food cold and incomplete WTH!!!!!! they make terrible my day!!!! Wow. I haven't been this disappointed at a restaurant in ages! It was just like eating out of a US Foods/Sysco trailer. The waffles (which are positioned as a specialty) are no better than eggos (pasty)! The chicken tenders were certainly frozen and they totally shorted me on "hollandaise sauce", which was more like margarine mixed with mayonnaise than hollandaise. The pancakes were borderline raw (no color on the pancakes, practical pale). The burger looked again straight from the freezer with some of the sorriest buns I've ever seen. They somehow managed to mess up home fries! They were cut too thick and not fried well enough. I paid $20 including tax and tip for a single entree for one person. That's over an hour's wages for me. My friends paid something comparable. I will not be going back here or to any Country Waffles location. I'd rather eat at IHOP or Jim's in...
