This quaint spot was a little diamond in the crowd! Everything we ate was spectacular and fresh. We saw them making the alcapurrias right in front of us. The place had top grade fresh seafood and grilled meats-friendly, clean, and its own little world inside the stern of the boat named Chompy's. The staff recommended various dishes such as conch salad (Carrucho), tasty churrasco with homemade beans, fried fresh queen snapper fish (cartucho) which was their catch of the day, and amazingly seasoned pork chunks (Carne frita). The passion fruit (parcha) mojitos were delicious and we enjoyed the fresh juices as well. Their desserts were so fresh and tasted as if they just came out of grandma's oven! The bread pudding, flan & sugared payaya with fresh cheese was amazing! The atmosphere was delightful, marked by warm lighting and adorable orange and yellow chairs. The owner came out to talk to us and told us to expect main dishes but he will also be adding seasonal variety to his menus alongside daily specials to match the fresh produce & seafood brought in by his fisherman and local vendors. We loved eating here and will make this a stop every time we come to...
Read moreI just wanted to put my own experience in new place, I went with family after such a long time but service not worthy the effort to be there. First the menu it's in a board on which the waitress can't even explain, one have to stand up and go to the board and READ IT, since when what waiters are for if is not to sell food. Sec9nd the owner don't even present himself, let me tell you this is the third time I go there from the last administration looking for the original Chef of the local. It is a twilight of place. A rice with jueyes, that it is not jueyes it's just crab can meat, you will notice by the white meat and flavor it's suppose to be savory not tomatoish. Service fatal long faces owners don't even approach new comers and address the menu on a board that waitress don't explain. They treated us as cheap public which in reality we travel three times a year to the island our country to enjoy our family. Such a trashy place even the old owner respected all public that...
Read moreChompy’s was one the highlights during my recent trip to Puerto Rico. My wife and I had one of the most memorable dining experiences at this place. From the friendly waitress to the delicious food, everything was top-notch. My wife tried the mofongo with shrimp, and I had the fried fish with fried plantains. Both dishes were absolutely incredible! The piña coladas were superb as well. Also the place was packed with locals, which made it feel like a special gathering place for families. If you’re looking for a truly authentic dining experience, this is the...
