I would not recommend this place. My husband and I went for the first time to try it out. When you enter there’s a sign that says wait to be seated. My husband and I stood there for at least 5-7 minutes waiting to be seated. The restaurant was not crowded and there were at least 4 tables open and available ( there’s only about 6 tables in the whole place) there were 4 waitresses dressed in all black that kept looking at us standing there but none of them came to seat us. Instead they just looked at us and whispered to each other and continued to ignore us. Another couple came in and then suddenly one of the waitresses came over to seat us and them. We were seated towards the back of the restaurant and the other 2 people were seated towards the front of the restaurant. The same waitress went to the table that was seated after us and gave them their menus and utensils. Then she came to our table and gave us menus and utensils. We were confused as to why this was done as we were clearly seated first. We then waited to see if the waitress would come to take our drink or food order before servicing them but she didn’t. Even though we were there first and seated first the waitress went to the other table to take there order while we sat there ready to order. At this point we had had enough so we decided to leave as it was clear that we were not wanted in this establishment. Did I mention that we are African American and the other people that came in after us and seated after us were Caucasian. Yes ! Everyone there was Caucasian my husband and I were the only African Americans in the whole place. I can’t speak on the food because we never had a chance to taste it. Perhaps it may be good but if your of a darker complexion you may or may not be served. It’s almost 2025 and this type of behavior and ignorance still exists. It’s true right here in locust grove. I’ll spend my money where the color of my skin doesn’t determine the type of service I...
Read moreWe ate here for breakfast and I have to say, we were really disappointed. It wasn’t very busy when we came in, I think that’s because it was Sunday and everyone was at church. Our server looked confused every time we said something and didn’t understand when we told her we needed a good minute to look at the menu (we were also talking a lot and knew it would be a while before we decided), she kept coming to the table every 2 minutes until we were ready. The mimosas were bottomless for $20 but had no alcohol in them, we drank juice for $20. The food was worse, it had no flavor and everyone’s orders were wrong. According to the menu, you can have fresh greens or potatoes with the omelette AND the omelette itself has potatoes inside. One omelette was supposed to come with greens on the side, it came with potatoes on the side instead and no potatoes inside. The other was supposed to have potatoes inside, an addition of spinach in the omelette and a side of greens…instead they gave potatoes on the side, no greens, and sautéed spinach on the side. Our last order was huevos rancheros, the “fried” tortilla was soggy and the egg was fully cooked instead of over easy as requested. Aside from the orders all being wrong, there was no flavor, it tasted plain. I have never felt so dissatisfied from a meal, I felt like we ate nothing good. Our bill was divided into two, paying almost $80 for two meals and bottomless mimosas that were literally just juice was ridiculous. The environment is okay, the decor and restaurant itself looks very nice and welcoming. But overall, the food and service aren’t...
Read moreMy wife, son and I stopped in here today for lunch after looking at a home for sale near by. I wanted to like this charming little shop, but it was a pretty bad experience through and through. We ordered our drinks and got them in a reasonable time, then placed our orders, slightly long on this but not crazy. At this point, let me say a few things. First off the waitress only had 3 other tables, so busy but not slammed, she was a red head with glasses.
After we ordered, my wife’s tacos came out first. They were not what she ordered, but she decided to pick off what she didn’t care for and go with it. After a long pause my son’s quesadilla came and it was also wrong, but again he said that he would go with it. We then sat there for around 10 more minutes where the waitress finally comes over and tells me she didn’t put my order in, and she would put it in now. After telling me that she forgot my order, she asks if I want to reorder it just forget it? I had no interest in waiting another 20-30 minutes so I told her to forget it.
When she brought the dishes for my wife and son, she literally passed by the table without slowing each time and dropped the dish at the end of the table loudly, it was just so weird and rude. It’s just hard to fathom how clueless you have to be to serve food to a table and not realize that one person doesn’t have food for 10 minutes. This is the first time in my adult life that I left a zero tip. I always tip extremely well sometimes 50% if it’s a...
