I was simply amazed. If you don't take a chance on the prodigious gourmet potatoes served here, you have truly missed out on a culinary experience.
I entered on a lark having seen the restaurant busy before and requested a to go menu. The young woman was out but made special effort to run out to her car and get me one while the owner told me about the menu. Five stars for customer service off the bat. Though simple in decor the establishment is impeccably clean and sharp looking. Having worked in food service over the years I was very impressed.
I headed home, showed my family the menu and we ordered via one of the online food delivery services. What arrived a hour later was some of the best food I have had locally ever. Sweep the prizes off the mantle and put this puppy up there in a place of honor good.
We shared four of the different dishes in the only complaint, if it could be called that, was the Chipotle Aioli was a bit more spicey then anticipated. It was all devoured ravenously.
The potatoes were perfectly done and seasoned blending in a delight to the taste buds. The meats, vegetables were perfectly cooked, complimenting each other marvelously with an array of cheeses and spices.
If you do not take time out of your busy schedule to try this place you are missing out on some of the best cooking in Locust Grove. It is well worth any time, wait, or anything else you may have to over come to get there. My thanks to the staff and owner, or owners, for a marvelous meal I look forward to having one more...

I usually enjoy Spuds, but today was the worst experience I’ve had. My daughter and I placed our usual order and waited about 30 minutes, despite being the only customers in the restaurant. When we received our food, I glanced at the trays and assumed everything was correct—my mistake for not double-checking.
When I got home, I realized my plate was missing. I called the restaurant, and they told me to come back so they could remake my order and that it would be “free.” However, I had already paid $70 for four baked potatoes, so simply remaking the food didn’t make it free—I expected a refund or some form of compensation for the inconvenience. I live 20 minutes away, and making a second trip was frustrating, especially when the mistake was on their end.
To make matters worse, the staff consisted of young employees with no visible management, which led to an overall unprofessional experience. And they did not give an apology for the oversight. Mistakes happen, but the way they handled it was...
Read moreI literally just had the worse experience ever at a restaurant. I came in to order a veggie spud. I asked for extra sauce on scallions on the side. The cashier walked to the back and told the owner my request. I heard him say loudly "I DONT CHEAT ANYONE OUT OF ANYTHING" "SHE DO NOT HAVE TO COME BACK". I was so taken back by his comment bc at the time i was the only person in the restaurant. Shortly after two customers came in and they both got their food before I did. At this point, I knew he was talking about me. I told the cashier...i am not sure what you told him but I only asked for the things I paid for. I told her that I heard the owner and her only response was "oh you heard that..oh well enjoy your potato". At this point I do not feel comfortable eating the spud and I will take the owner's advice and not come back. I would advise you not eat here until you want to be treated like this after asking for side items....or anything else for that matter. This was extremely...
