Sarku Japan Teriyaki & Sushi Express — Restaurant in Lodi

Who knows what drove me to try this place today. I'm not super picky about the taste but knowing that this food isn't supposed to be gourmet quality, they should probably put more effort into making the customer service aspect pleasant, at least.

Your pickup process is quite awkward. I came back and saw reviews that your store keeps getting their ubereats orders wrong and I can see why. normally you would greet the person that walks in, and if the person says picking up ubereats for so and so, you would check your prepared orders and simply match the name to the order. the employee didnt look too sure when he handed me the bag so before actually taking it i looked carefully for my name and order info on the bag, THEN he suddenly asks for my ID, of all things (after already having handed the bag towards me, mind you), without any kind of reasoning, explanation, or a quick apology. I don't have to carry ID to pick up food from ubereats. I proceeded to simply open up my app to show what seems to be some kind of receipt or proof or whatever on the app itself. The employee didnt tell me what page or what info he'd like me to show him on my phone and halfway glanced at my phone, again no apology or thank you, and that was it. what was the actual point of that?

And who's going to want to eat here when that's the experience, aside from the occasional desire for "Japanese...

I typically go to sarku Japan in Teterboro for chicken teriyaki sushi, since it's right near my gym so I know what to expect when I order this usually.

This sarku is terrible. These people handed my sushi in syrofoam containers rather than the plastic sushi box it normally comes in. Caused all my food to be piled together and unseparated.

They placed the wasabi underneath a piece of sushi and it was attached to my avocado. That caused me to accidentally chew all the wasabi they gave me and I had to spit it out .

Then they tried to tell me the menu was wrong and the sushi doesn't come with eel sauce. I only get this specific sushi because of the eel sauce.... Her excuse was that this sarku was different and didn't give sauce with their sushi and you had to specifically ask for it otherwise it's assumed not to come with sauce.

Why would I have to do that if it's advertised with that sauce in the description and accounted for with the nutrition facts....

I have not been disappointed with sarku in Teterboro, but this one makes me not even want any sarku at...

The first time I went there, they all were chatting and laughing while preparing my food. I had to ask the person that was cooking my food to not talk on top my food. Seriously did not want to pay for that extra saliva ingredient. The second time I went there it was so shocking. Once again they all were chatting and laughing I ordered sushi this time and had already paid when I see a guy staring at me while cleaning his wide open mouth with a toothpick he starts preparing the sushi without wearing gloves and the toothpick still in his mouth. I just couldn’t believeee what I was seeing had to ask for my refund and never again visit that...
