TL;DR Open late, friendly staff, check for sauces. Drive-thru lane: once you are in it, there is no turning out.
We drove across town after a movie to grab a late dinner as this was the only decent place open after trying 3 other restaurants. (One place had a note apologizing that they were closing early, another was listed under the wrong time zone, and that last just simply had wrong times posted...) so this was one of the few places open past 10 pm, but drive-thru only.
Drive through had a bit of a line when we pulled in. How it directs traffic is a little odd, it funnels you to a single lane that you can not exit once you are in it. So if you choose the drive thru, you better be committed to it, because there is no changing your mind. It is also a tight turn, so biggers vehicles beware you will need full turning radius to make it past the order spot.
We were informed that several of the normal menu items were currently unavailable. Ok, can't help that. That has recently been an issue at many places.
Ordered mozzarella sticks with extra marinara. Ordered jalapeño poppers and asked specifically for the bronco berry sauce. Ordered a chicken sandwich that comes with swiss, requested to replace swiss with any other regular cheese. Ask for extra honey mustard cup as well. Ordered 2 meals and some single sandwiches to feed everyone.
Get to the window, am asked about sauces. I repeat the ones I asked for the ones mentioned above, and add Arby's sauce and a single horsey sauce. Was told no problem and disappears from window.
Different person appears, asks about sauces, I repeat myself. Told ok, gotcha, also disappears.
Third person appears, ALSO asks about sauces as she looks into the bags. I start to repeat myself again (marinara, bronco berry etc) but she cuts me off saying, "no like Arby's sauce" to which I reply yes some of that and a single horsey sauce too please.
As she starts handing me bag, I ask if all my sauces are there, and she replies yes before I can even finish my question.
Normally I check my bag at the window before leaving but considering how the drive-thru line was and how many times three different people check my bag I decided just to pull forward so the next person could get to the window.
It was not till I started handing out food that I realized I did not have ANY of my sauces, like no marinara, nothing, there were no napkins, the fries were only half filled, everythingwas piled high to fit it all into 2 bags so the sandwicheson bottom were quite squished, and to top it off upon reviewing my receipt I was charged extra for the cheese substitution because of how it was rung up.
Figured it would not be worth the time and aggravation to return to the drive-thru to get it resolved (the lobby was closed) but that part was pretty disappointing.
Other than that, the food was still good, the staff was super friendly (loved the energy of the guy taking my order at the speaker, made me smile despite the wait) and they TRIED to be helpful, but ultimately failed on that last account. I understand things get busy and wait times are inevitable, but if you are going to ask somebody about sauces, please verify they are in there before handing out the bag. Hopefully it was an isolated issue.
This experience is not enough to turn me away from the establishment, I'll give them another shot if I'm in...
Read moreBefore I get to the actual review, it's story time. So, after the debacle that happened at McDonald's (having to send back a SALAD 3 times in 40 MINUTES because of incompetence), me and my fiance came here. We ordered our food and went over to the area where you pick up the food. We chatted with a nice worker about the whole McDonalds thing and she was really kind about it and chatted with us. We got our food (we just got a slider and a beef and cheddar, nothing else) and we see the nice lady walking towards us with drink cups. We didn't order drinks, and was about to say so, but then she said "these complimentary drinks are from the manager, enjoy!" I was kind of dumbfounded, as they must have overheard the conversation about the McDonalds thing. That was awesome. We ate our above average food, thanked the manager greatly and left so satisfied. Now for the food. We got a beef and cheddar and a buffalo chicken slider (we shared both). The chicken for the slider was crunchy and tasty especially for a fast food place and the sauce was rather good. The beef and cheddar was honestly so good as well. Easy to eat and tasted fantastic. Hot too for both items. And with the drinks we got, I feel obligated to positively review Arby's for their outstanding customer service alone, but combined with the fresh and delicious food, I...
Read moreI thought the service at the McDonald's down the way were bad.... wow. We got there, and one guy asked what we needed. We replied to the mobile order, and he called it out to the team, and the first voice back was the guy making the food saying, "Good for them, they'll have to wait." I found that comical, so I stood by to watch him make our food and listen to the girls working there saying they don't make enough money to deal with this place. I watched him make my sandwich wrong but didn't want to interrupt him in fear of conflict. Waited until they tried to serve it to us, then told them to remake it.
Food wasn't really that hot even though I watched him make it. Mozzarella sticks were like rubber and cold. Drinks were at least right.
The only other couple there had to bring their food back up, too. They also ordered it for dine in and ended up getting it all bagged. Some lady in the drive-through didn't get her fries, so she was holding up the line. Everyone on the team was arguing about what to do. Guy made the food votes to tell her to "f off," but sanity prevailed, and the girl up front said to " just give it to her to get rid of her." Who knew it could be so entertaining to...
