My family use to visit this location when we lived in Loganville and loved it so I thought it would be a good idea to stop in for lunch with my son today when we decided to go to stars and Strikes for some fun. So we waited 10 mins before we even saw the first employee that took us to a seat. They were not busy. I saw maybe 6 booths with people. So once we sat, we waited 10 to 15 mins for someone to bring chips and get drink order. Our drinks came back quickly and I asked for cheese dip and jalapenos. Those usually come before the food but not this time. We waited a good 20 to 30 mins before we saw anyone again and it was our meal. I asked for no guac but it was there. My son got 2 quesadillas which came on 2 plates. He also asked for rice and beans but got rice only. I asked for A BOWL of sour cream and I got extra on my food so that makes it hard to share . We still never got cheese dip and jalapenos. After all that waiting and nothing being right we didn't touch the food. I just got up and left and I have NEVER done that before. Our burgers at stars and strikes worked out just fine. I feel if I am going to spend my money I would like to get what I ordered. I would completely understand and try to get the rest of my order if it had been a language barrier issue but the girl that wrote down the order spoke perfect English. Unfortunately we will not be returning to this restaurant. I will stick with my local...
Read moreThey have no idea what a Chile relleno is, when a Chile relleno is requested they gave me a stuffed bell pepper (it was a slice of a green bell pepper with ground beef in the middle of it if I recall correctly). I found an actual Chile relleno on the menu however they were calling it a Chile poblano (which apparently is a Chile relleno with an omelette according to by google, however this dish lacked an omelette so it would just be a Chile relleno). When I got the Chile relleno it looked almost disturbing as it had the most putrid looking sauce on it (looked a bit like diarrhea) the sauce tasted like watered down sour cream (made the whole thing a lot worse). The fried batter outer layer had absolutely no flavor or bite to it. It was kinda like a soggy pancake but worse. The chicken and rice were the only parts of the dish that I’d say I enjoyed eating. The cheese wasn’t really noticeable (still not sure if it was there) and the pepper lacked flavor (it had a little amount of flavor but essentially no spice to it at all). The whole dish was just a...
Read moreWe have come here many times over the years. Long story short, we came for an early dinner Tuesday night, Wednesday morning came along and my son realized he didn't have his wallet. He called El Ranchero at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday morning when the person that answered said yes we have your wallet. It was found inside but by the front doors. With the holidays upon us and the state of the economy, we fully expected his gift cards and substantial amount of cash in the wallet to be gone. To our surprise it was all there, not one dollar missing. To the employee of the restaurant who found it, we thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! My son is a college student, the money in his wallet was for his next semester payment! I would like to thank El Ranchero for the many years of great food, great service and add to the list, honesty and integrity! Thanks...
