Updated Review May 2, 2023: I decided to go on their first day open of the week and finally got to try their Melted Pimento Cheese Burger. It was very good and worth the wait...But it was the only dinner highlight. I did go in open minded and not holding a grudge on the stock issues I wrote about in my original review (even though they were out of other items today such as salads). The Onion Rings were barely over room temp and a very small portion. I've eaten at several new restaurants lately and this was the least side of O'Rings I've gotten anywhere and they were small on top of that. There was also a hair under them. The pulled pork was good but not the best around. The other side portions for Fries, Mac, and Green Beans was decent and all were good, esp the Mac N Cheese. Service was a bit slow but our waitress was friendly as was anyone else encountered and they are helpful and responsive on social media. Probably won't return as it wasn't our favorite for any of the items, except the burger, but it's too tricky to score one of those. But we enjoyed the dinner and the food otherwise. Original Review April 29, 2023: I'll update my review if I ever get to try this place. Every time I've tried to go this past week they have been out of burgers. They'll get them in stock and run out again. Once, ok...But for it to be a continuous issue with something as simple as burgers shows signs of bad management. I'd love to try their highly advertised Pimento Melt...Not sure why they continue to advertise items so highly that they can't even maintain in stock. I try not to rate restaurants like this, but 3 strikes did it....I don't care how good the service or food is...You can't run a restaurant without the menu...Looking at past reviews, this appears to be an issue others have experienced as well. Do better.

Our recent visit to Foggy Bottom calls for candid feedback, and unfortunately, it's with a heavy heart that we express our severe disappointment. As avid travelers with a taste for delightful experiences, we have explored numerous places in the south, savoring memorable moments along the way. However, this particular establishment failed to live up to our expectations, leaving us utterly dismayed. On the positive side, we must acknowledge the ambiance, which successfully evoked the feel of an authentic barbecue joint, earning them some applause in that department. Nonetheless, our overall experience took a sharp nosedive, mainly due to the decline in food quality that seems to have plagued many restaurants since the pandemic. Our anticipation for dessert was already tempered, considering the prevailing circumstances, but little did we know that our apprehension would transform into outright disillusionment. Imagine our surprise and dismay when we discovered meat in the peach cobbler. We tried to maintain an open mind, contemplating various reasons for such an unconventional addition, but alas, this peculiar choice completely marred the entire dining affair for us. In all honesty, we can't help but express our genuine dismay at this unfortunate culinary mishap. It's disheartening when a single element taints an otherwise potentially pleasant dining experience. We hope that Foggy Bottom takes this feedback seriously and considers refining their offerings to provide a more satisfactory experience for future patrons.

I've lived in the area for 11yrsan never ate here until the other day. It's not a huge restaurant but they have their share of customers and the staff seem pretty nice. We had a half rack plate with red beans & rice and fris, and the pulled pork plate with mac and greens. The ribs we seasoned well and they were nice & tender but those red beans and rice were something to write home about! They were spicy an jam packed with flavor! The pulled pork was also very good I just wished I had skipped the mac, its not very good, and asked for nother slice of bread. The greens weren't too bad an got with a dash of hot sauce. All in all we would definitely return.

Now, I don't know if it was just the day we went, or the chefs that were on duty, or because we ordered takeout, but Foggy Bottom barbecue is not a good place to get barbecue, in my opinion. We went on a Saturday, afternoon time which gave us the impression when we got there that it may be a quick order type scenario, since there weren't many other patrons in the location , and only one person came in and picked up some food as we were. But , we did wait for about 30 minutes before our food was ready. When we got home, we looked in the container and there was some chicken and ribs and pork, but they weren't necessarily cooked all that great or, they didn't really have a lot of plate appeal ( call us snobby, but we tend to look for that) compared to most places we've visited . When we tasted the barbecue though, it did not particularly taste all that great, either! Now, the problem in lies when the experience doesn't match up to your expectations, sometimes you disregard the way the food tastes, or the the manner in which it was prepared does not match up to what your expectations were when you went in. But, I have, and like to, eat a lot of barbecue. And even though the service wasn't all that great, the people kinda seemed like they didn't care whether we like the food or not. Looking at the way it was plated, looking at the barbecue, looking at the way the pulled pork was, the chicken was very flimsy , it just did not suit us as an appetizing meal. We both agreed that we'll probably not go back there , even though Google keeps suggesting them to us as if they are the greatest thing since sliced bread , which the most definitely are not. I guess the rating is from locals, who are not necessarily used to eating good barbecue, but my family name actually creates a barbecue in Florida, they have stores in Florida, as well as a couple of BBQ places in Texas, that have very good barbecue that I've experienced, and this place does not match either one of those places. I'm sorry to say, but if you're really looking for a good barbecue, Foggy Bottom BBQ is not the...

This was my wife and my first visit here. If I could give Foggy Bottom BBQ 6 stars, I would. In all categories. First, I want to say something about the location. The entrance to the restaurant is actually behind another business. Don't be fooled. Just keep driving to the back, and you'll see it. There is a rustic charm to this place. A gravel parking lot, a camp like feel to the building, and 2 cats roaming outside. I knew this was going to be my kind of place! As you walk closer to the door, the aroma of good bbq permeates my nostrils. We were greeted very warmly and friendly by the hostess. She was engaging as she led us to a dining area. Our waitress, Alexis, I think, was superbly amazing. Being our first time eating there, we had a lot of questions about the menu. In my opinion, she was very patient in answering our questions. Alexis knows the menu for sure! She even recommended collards for a side. Those were delicious. My wife and I couldn't make our minds up on the entree, so we both ordered the Pit Master plate because it gives you a choice of everything. Now, about the food. It was delicious!! My brisket was very tender and full of flavor. The ribs and pulled pork were also the same. I loved the baked beans. They do their's differently than most places. My wife had the Brunswick stew, which she said was delicious. We took peach cobbler to go for dessert, and after driving home to McDonough with it, the cobbler was still warm! We will be back for sure! Loganville has themselves a hidden gem with this place. Consider...
