I genuinely love coming to La Bamba but this experience was terrible. One Saturday night 11/5/22, As soon as I came into the establishment and was seated the vibe was off. My waitress at first greeting had a terrible attitude. She asked me about starters and I ordered a margarita then my waitress proceeded to ask for my ID. In response, she rolled her eyes because she didn't believe my age, instead of her telling me she needs her manager to review my id or she needs further confirmation she says nothing and walks away. There would have been no issue if she would have stated that she needed further clarification for a vertical ID and she was more than welcome to check the veracity but instead, she walked away and said nothing. The manager then approaches my table again with a nasty attitude like I'm bothering him with my service to order food and drinks from his establishment, rolling his eyes as well as stating their policy saying he needs to see my ID. I agreed because I always get drinks from this establishment, but he seemed annoyed from the start. I was disgusted by the lack of professionalism so I asked to speak to him again to resolve this issue. He was disrespectful the entire conversation and would not let me finish a word and completely disregarded the fact I felt disrespected as a customer. I will never return to this establishment as a result of this atrocious behavior and service. He then further stated that he did not care that I was a returning customer and I was unsatisfied with my very brief experience. Then he further added insult to injury by backing his waitress and her unprofessionalism instead of doing his job as a manager and making sure the customer was satisfied with the service and fixing the issue that I respectfully brought to his attention. I highly suggest if you are reading this review that you don't go here or bring your family to this establishment. I hope management gets better and learn how to speak to people properly or someone cleans the clock on the staff and starts fresh because bad service is unacceptable. DEFINETLY MID!!! will not...
Read moreDining at La Bamba Mexican Bar and Grill feels a bit like stepping into someone’s warm, welcoming kitchen—if that kitchen just so happened to serve dishes that could win awards and make you question why you’ve been settling for sad lunches at your desk. The atmosphere is relaxed but lively, with just the right amount of music and chatter to make you feel at home without needing to shout your order like you're at a football game.
Now, let’s talk about the star of the show: the Texas Bowl.
This glorious, oversized plate features a harmonious trio of grilled chicken, tender shrimp, and steak cooked perfectly medium rare—not the “oops we overcooked it” medium rare, but the kind where you cut into it and briefly consider standing to applaud. Each protein was seasoned with care and grilled just enough to coax out bold flavor without sacrificing texture.
The bowl is rounded out with fragrant white rice, buttery corn, and savory black beans, all lightly drizzled in velvety queso blanco. Add in the brightness of fresh guacamole, a zippy pico de gallo, and you have a dish that hits every note on the flavor keyboard—from smoky and rich to bright and refreshing. It’s not just a bowl—it’s a well-balanced edible mood board.
And then, there was Ariana, my server, who delivered the kind of attentive, cheerful service that makes you wonder if you should be tipping in cash, praise, and possibly a heartfelt poem. She was fast, friendly, and knew just when to appear—like a queso-bearing food ninja.
Final Thoughts: La Bamba’s Texas Bowl is a shining example of what happens when bold flavors meet careful execution—and when that execution is matched by a genuinely welcoming dining experience.

Read moreI never have negative reviews. It’s not about the food but the waitress we had tonight made me question if i will return. Not 5 minutes after we got our food, the checks were handed to us asking if we were ready to pay. Not even half way done with the food and this was asked, no “how are things” NOTHING. My rice was forgotten about so i nicely asked the sweet gentleman about it and he went to handle it. He was just delivering other food. so i asked the waitress about it and when it came out it was cold and i just put it in a togo container. The waitress kept asking if we were ready to pay as we were having some margaritas and just catching up. Then we paid she decided to give a nasty look as she opened up the finished the ticket. She was tipped way over 20%. Im sorry you might’ve had a long day/ night but acting this way is not professional at all. I believe her name was Belma. It got to the point where i asked my family to come up and see how we were being treated because i couldn’t believe it. I love La Bamba but i will not be tolerate being tested this way. If you don’t want to work GO HOME. if you don’t like being a waitress then start somewhere else. Not being rude but it’s very sad knowing they have all these great people and one can ruin it for everyone. OH and good thing i’m not under age because she never asked...
