I was so excited to hear we have a restaurant like this in loganville! I ordered the Thai curry meal large. There are no prices at the time I went there on the wall via the size and especially any special they have that day.
I hate and hate again to leave a mom and pop restaurant a bad review considering I own my own mom and pop business, but I leave this because it’s honest.
Like I said earlier I ordered a special large Thai curry meal with no actual prices for any special above…I figured it would be a bit more expensive since it was a special. I saw them putting the meal together and had to ask numerous times for more meat. After asking numerous times for more meat my plate was filled. In one of those styrofoam plates you have three sides. Two little and one large.
I asked for little rice more vegetables and more meat at worst case scenario. On the top left small portion I received my meat, I got home and weighed it and it came to 5.8 ounces of meat plus bone. The rest of the plate was rice and vegetables….if you can’t paint a picture of the meant I received think about the small portion of a styrofoam plate and imagine the little portion was “almost” filled for 24 dollars….
The food was terrific and that’s why I gave it more than 1 star. But the value for what you actually get is horrific to say the least! If you go near for price it’s literally more expensive then any meat product you can buy at the store by 2x!
I love the food but price is horrid to say the least. Do yourself a favor and go down half a mile on the left to Suki where they offer 90 percent of their meals for half the price and 3-4 times the meat and any other additional product for free! I am sorry I can’t say this place is worth anyone’s penny for their prices.
Like I said earlier, I own my own business and there are many like it but I don’t charge 3-5 times my competitors. It’s ignorance at its finest and I guarantee when this company goes out of business they...
Read moreI have been going here for years and I've always been satisfied. Please forgive me I do not know names but if You go to the store then you know that there's always the same two ladies one is very fair light skin and the other one is brown. I believe the one who is fair light skin is one of the owners. The brown lady is the one who usually serves me and I will say she is very personable and very kind. Today I walked in to grab a meal and it was a little crowded. I waited patiently in the back for my turn I did not want to walk up to the counter and skip everybody as I did not know who is next so I waited patiently. A couple walked in after me and walked a little closer to the counter. The fair light skin lady was serving. She attempted to serve the couple next and I simply stepped up to the counter to let her know that I was next. She didn't like this. She then attempted to verify with the brown lady if I had been in line waiting however I know that neither one of them saw when I walked in. The couple knew that I was next and had already told me it was fine. So I attempted to ask the fair light skin lady if everything was okay? And she said I was trying to serve the couple and you interrupted me. And I simply said "because I was next". This left me completely baffled that she felt the need to verify if I was lying and then have the nerve to tell me that I interrupted her. Excuse me for waiting patiently for my turn and then letting you know that I was next. Without another word I just left. As much as I enjoy the customer service from the other brown lady I will never step foot in this place again. I hate the way she treated me. Customer service goes a long way with me and this just totally turned me off. Honestly you guys are just better off letting the brown girl serve not the very light skin girl because she's never kind and hurting her own...
Read moreI'm going to cut straight to the chase.
The rice and peas are fresh and tasty; I think it could use maybe a hint more of coconut milk, but nevertheless is good. The red pepper salmon is very delicious; I've had two people begging me to share my meal with them. Their curry shrimp and curry chicken are very delicious. And unlike most other West Indian restaurants, their cabbage is very tasty and cooked to perfection.
Since I mostly eat seafood, I wish the restaurant had more escoveitch kingfish and red pepper salmon available more often. Escovitch salmon and curried salmon would also be good choice for the menu as well.
The portions of the food could be a little better, as with the large order of red pepper salmon; in my opinion it should include two pieces of fish and not just one. More rice in in a larger container (as opposed to less rice in a medium sized or small sized container with the exact same piece of fish), doesn't make the main item of the dish actually larger. More of the main item makes a dish larger.
With all that being said and done... the staff is very friendly and helpful, The establishment is clean & bright. Therefore in conclusion, I would highly recommend this...
