I live in Pacific Northwest and spent lot of time to find solid wood dinning set. Finally me and my wife went to a local wood furniture shop, sales people were nice and helped to understand pros & cons about different woods. When we were ready to place custom order, we started to compare price and requested quote from the local dealer but after searching on the internet and talking to few more vendors, i realized that the local vendor was almost 50% expensive. It was disappointing as i prefer to give business to local shops. Finally, I found Hardwood Furniture & Design on the internet but they were located in IL, i was bit skeptical in buying furniture from out of state dealer. I spoke to them multiple times and found them very helpful and reasonable. Everything turned out really good, it took some time to get the furniture as we added extra item after 4 weeks. This was one of the most enjoyable buying experience irrespective of long distance, Candy was great to work with and very helpful. Hardwood Furniture & Design was recommended to me in 1994 by a friend, and I was thrilled when I went into their showroom and saw they had exactly the kind of file cabinets I had been searching for. I choose six gorgeous black walnut cabinets, and Garry showed me how these huge machines they used would manufacture exact, precision cabinets I would be proud of. Today in July of 2020, they still look brand-new! I just put Watco oil on them every once in a while, and you would never know they are twenty-six years old. In addition, when I needed something ten years later, which was replacement glass doors for the small bookcases I bought to match the cabinets, Garry and Candy remembered me and the job and handled that right away. Wonderful people to work with. I ordered online from California and the process could not have gone smoother. Not only was their price much less than their competitors but they kept me informed (order, manufacturing, arrival, delivery) at every step along the way. The gentleman they use for out of town deliveries was careful and professional. He called me along his route to keep me posted of the delivery date and time. I would order again, from this company, in a heartbeat. Long distance ordering of furniture can be dicey. These folks are real pros. Outstanding service...
