Astro — Restaurant in Lomita

I haven't actually done karaoke here, so I am rating Astro on the basis of food and drinks only.

The bar is a nice place to get an appetizer and drinks. The bar section of this bar is extremely small, so I would not come with a large group unless you plan to do karaoke in the other room.

My biggest issue with Astro is the service. The service is less than adequate. I've been here at least 7 times, if not more, and each time I'm disappointed by the service. They take a long time to help you (even when they are not busy) and once they do finally serve you, they don't come back to see if you're still doing okay or if you need anything else. This review is already lengthy, so I'll leave it at that.

I rented a room here for my birthday party this past Saturday night. There was a pretty large group of us, about 13. I asked the waitstaff if it would be possible for everyone in my group to go up to the counter so they could all have their own tabs instead of trying to sort a room bill at the end of the night, and they were completely fine with that. What's more, they still counted everyone's drink tabs towards the room cost. Another group showed up at 11 so we have to move to the main room. Came to check it out with my wife the karaoke & bar, bartender Daniel was there to greet us & help us cordially & pleasantly. I ordered a glass of Melot wine & hot tea for her. The minute we walked in we felt this horrible & stroIng smell of oil like if it was trapped inside the building. For Karaoke, Daniel told us we had to wait 30 minutes for this tiny tv in a room bcz it was being occupied & reserved for 2 hrs. I had to pay $5 per person to go inside that room which wasn't clean yet from the previous user lol. Parking is really limited & must park...
