Fantastic Cafe Lomita — Restaurant in Lomita

Prices up, quality down. This place used to be good. I don't know what has happened, but the quality of the food has gone down while prices have crept up. The last time I went there, I ordered a tamale. I know they don't make their tamales fresh to order, but I at least expect them to be semi fresh. The tamale I got was warm on the outside but rock hard cold on the inside as if it was frozen and only warmed up for a minute or two in a microwave. I could only eat a few bites of it before I had to throw it away. The "Fantastic Burrito", their super sized breakfast burrito option, had promise. However when it actually tasted it, I was disappointed. The sausage in the burrito tasted as if it had been frozen for a very long time and warmed up right before they threw it in the burrito. There was no seasoning at all. Not even a pinch of salt. There also wasn't any avocado, which is pretty much standard in any deluxe breakfast burrito now a days. I'm not saying I will not go back to Fantastic Cafe, but it won't be...

I go to fantastic cafes all the time. The food is a 7 out of ten, price 5 out of 10 (7$ for the cheapest burger small fries & drink). The middle aged Korean guy that is the night manager is a massive a$$. He's the pig faced over weight bully that couldn't fight his way out of a wet paper bag. With the ever so annoying "Speaky no engrwish" accent & pushy mannerisms forcing you to take what he thinks you should get or get out. I'm hoping he owns the place because anyone who would hire this guy?? Well I can only guess, but I know a lot off mom & pop places have 0 customer service. The owners are in a position of power, which enables them to treat employees & customers like enemy's. If you are this mans boss & you are reading this. Haven't had their food there in a minute but stopped in to get a couple shakes to go 1 Chocolate 1 Vanilla.. didn't feel like driving to the other location on PCH but turns out I should have. Their Shakes are 1000 times better & tastier. The Chocolate shakes at this location was Vanilla ice cream with chocolate syrup and it darn near looked like the Vanilla shake and the only way to tell them apart was one had chocolate syrup on top. Wasted over 15 plus tip and tossed the shakes away. The Vanilla shake was nowhere near the other location on PCH. Guessing they dont use the thrifty ice-cream at this one or someone is not doing it right. No shade to their food but the shakes,... that will never happen again.
