Los Olivos is a small, relaxing place to stop along a Hwy 101 trip. The food at Gandolfo is so fresh and flavorful. Their fresh blueberry coffee cake is divine. My Mediterranean salad with balsamic vinaigrette was so refreshing on a hot day. Look what I found among the plethora of healthy drinks in the fridge! Artesian water from New Zealand, in glass instead of plastic. Way to go. It’s the first place I’ve seen this brand in the States. I saw it in Auckland, New Zealand about 18 months ago. Holy cow! What a sandwich! I'm just a teensy bit of a sandwich snob. I like fresh ingredients, I like a little bit of a bite or something extra in the flavors, and most importantly, I like everything spread out evenly so that every bite is the same. And Gandolfo Family Market did not disappoint. I had the Ham Ranchero. My husband said he wasn't hungry and didn't order anything, but then ended up eating 1/2 of mine.
