Taqueria Don Tacho — Restaurant in Lompoc

Their food is oh so delicious! I've eaten there 5 times and we've only moved to town the weekend before Thanksgiving!

I've had their enchiladas verde with carnitas, which were jam packed with flavour and definitely quite spicy to me! Their relleno was pretty good with the sauce it came with. The chilaquiles were much like the enchiladas verde in that there is a lot of flavour going on but again a bit on the spicy side. The chimichangas combo was also great, I had those with chorizo and carnitas. I definitely feel like chorizo should be used more as a spicy than a filler but fortunately their chorizo wasn't too overpowering with the other flavours involved. The enchiladas rojas is a lot less spicy, in case you don't want too much spice, but it's not as flavourful as the verde 😍.

I'm really looking forward to trying the gorditas deal on a Thursday, they have weekly specials. I'm also interested in their rajas con crema, which I just learned about on my second time there.

Some places claim to have a Military Discount when at times a $95 multi-meal order for multiple people, only get .95 cents off the whole meal with that Military discount there. Flashback from a previous time. To top it off they want an official Miltary ID when you may have literally an official “Veteran” Imprint on your California ID, a Veteran Park pass and another Veteran form of ID for post-service verification as proof of service. I mean who else is supposed to have the Multiple Proofs we have. Please owner in charge of this establishment , I urge you to do some research on how us Veterans May Verify our proof of service, WITH MULTIPLE forms of ID, multiple.

If your reply is: Well they are enlisted and have an ID, what does it serve those that are currently enlisted, to when they are out of the service, and also show you their other Forms of proof of prior military service, that does not include an Authentic Military ID to kindly ask for a Military Discount? Please and thank you...

DO NOT EAT HERE!!! I was real excited to visit real close family here in Lompoc from Los Angeles and treat them with dinner. I chose don tacho taquería and was Disappointed from the very start with the cashier taking our order not paying attention to our order. After explaining my order 5/6 times I thought we had an understanding. Once getting to the house I found they left out our drinks and desserts along with 6 tacos. We ordered 10 pounds of meat and specified we wanted these for tacos. A huge part of my frustration is that they do not mention that tortillas are not included and they don't even offer tortillas to purchase to go with our taco meat. Needless to say WE WILL NEVER GO THERE AGAIN. CUSTOMER SERVICE WAS UNSATISFACTORY THE EXPERIENCE WAS PURELY FRUSTRATING. and this was suppose to add to our pleasant experience with our loved ones.
