I really really wanted to love this place. I have been trying to visit this place for a while and finally got the opportunity today. I pulled in and compadres was very busy not only with walk in traffic but online orders as well. To my surprise it was set up like a Qdoba or a chipotle so I was super excited for a restaurant like this in London.I waited about 15 minutes before it was my turn to order. I ordered the steak burrito with beans, rice, shredded cheese, queso, lettuce tomato, sour cream and hot salsa or sauce. I excitedly watched the gentleman behind the counter roll my burrito up and put it in a to go pan. I paid and walked outside to my truck to try the burrito. After opening the bag I discovered that the tortilla had ripped in the side which wasn't a big issue until I tried to pick up the burrito which was all but impossible. Idk if they didn't warm my tortilla up long enough or what but it just wasnt what I'm accustomed to from other burrito shops. May have been because they were busy and had a line of people behind me but to me being handheld is an important feature to a burrito. Although the portion of steak that they put into my burrito was pretty hefty the steak was rather tough and under seasoned. The hot sauce was non existent which was another disappointment. The rest of the burrito was on par or better than other burrito establishments. The queso was melty and rich the vegetables were fresh and crisp. I will probably try this restaurant again and hope that I have a better experience. The people behind the counter seemed like they loved what they were doing and were really attentive to customer service. Like I said at the beginning I WANT (NEED) to be able to love this place just my first experience wasn't the...

Verily, I perceive this burrito to have been forged within the fiery chasms of Mordor. It hath become my singular fixation, my Precious. To sunder me from this burrito would be akin to the tumultuous combat with a Balrog. In this light, Monday shall. not. pass. without my Precioussssss.
Behold this creation! It is half the length of my keyboard. It is the One Burrito to rule them all, not solely in magnitude, but in savor. The flavors as sophisticated and refined as Elven steel, creating a symphony of tastes that rule over all other sustenance, binding them to its will.
I am bound to this burrito, and it to me. I suspect other patrons are similarly stricken, and happy of their chains.
As a wizard, you should take my word for it. Or go to youtube and lookup “Compadres Local burrito London Kentucky” This is practically, exactly, how this burrito was made... I’m pretty sure.

Read moreSecond day coming here and the experience was even better than yesterday! I had my order to-go yesterday and the food was amazing (steak burrito, chips+salsa) and it was easily my favorite Mexican food in London, El Dorado probably being my second and previous favorite. This time I ate dine-in and the fella behind the counter recognized me and thanked me for my 5 star review from the previous day, he told me it is just him and his wife running the place and they take weekends off to spend time with the kids as a family. I love the mom-and-pop business spirit and on top of that the food is absolutely amazing and even better when dining in. Everything is immaculately clean and an all around great place for lunch. They definitely deserve a second 5 star review, I will be coming back for sure and thank the owners for an...
