My new favorite hidden gem, excellent food simple surroundings and best of all a BYOB! Chicken fingers cajun fries pulled pork old bay fries all delicious my favorite the veggie panini but everything fabulous can't wait to go back! Server melissa extremely sweet and accommodating earned a 30 percent tip(should always tip a great server extra especially at a BYOB because they are getting you cups wine keys etc that have nothing to do with the check n your saving money on alcohol) and she was so sweet n kind. Also as soon as we said we were splitting some of the items melissa n the runner immediately took the sandwiches in the kitchen to be cut in the back professionally for us a nice touch. The menu is quite extensive, have to come back to try some of the many items including specialties in Mexican corner, I love Mexican food but we have plans to go to 'Mexico' restaurant in Atlantic City so will try California grill's Mexican food next time for sure! We ordered 3 of their super cheesesteaks, a Turkey sub w/Cajun fries and onion rings. There was so little steak and cheese on the sandwich we had to scrape the meat from one side onto the other and just eat half. The buns were stale and the taste was mediocre at best. The turkey sub was also light on the meat and cheese and it came with regular fries instead of Cajun. The fries and onion rings were not hot. We were really looking forward to our order because my sister had had lunch there earlier in the week and the Italian sub was very good. I’m going back to Joey’s next year. I have loved this place for years but for the last 2 times I have visited and bought their chowder that has been frozen to take home I I have been disappointed. But this time I ended up with a quart of heavy cream and basically NO CHOWDER. Its a completely different color, taste and huge disappointment. $40 spent and I can’t just go back and return it because I got it on my way home from the shore and live 1.5 away. I drive home and thought I was bringing the best soup on the island to share with my family and heating it up to utter disappointment. It’s poor management and poor quality.
